You don't know it, but you are part of a story. That story is set to follow a certain path. If that path is broken, the story falls apart. If you are unimportant, you are scavenged and put into another story. If you are important, however, you need to be removed for the sake of another's tale.

Telanis, to the people there, it's home. To the people of Cyled, it is a fantasy world, property of Lotus Co. and the most popular show on TV.

To the Placers, it's their job.

Everyone in Telanis is a character, all of them get the camera on them some time in their life, but they will never know unless the story falls apart... and they are important. Remote Cameras, invisible and hovering in the sky, record the lives of everyone... The people in Telanis are manipulated when they sleep... But they are never moved too far from how they truly are... otherwise Lotus would lose viewers...

In Cyled, people aren't watched. The adults go to their jobs in factories or in the offices to earn their paychecks, while children and teens go to their schools, so that they can learn the skills to do what the adults do... At least, that's how it should be... There are those who drop out of the system, get in trouble with the law, and that sort of thing. However, lots of people want to work for Lotus.

*The Placers partially godmode, but they are fine, since the Telanis people don't know they exist, and so cannot dodge invisible attacks... Placers > Telanis people. If a Telanis person finds out, they either join the Placers or get killed. (Or they run as far as they can... but they won't escape...) No Telanis character knows about the Placers... if one sees one, other placers will wipe the memory away.

Background: A famed prince, his life seems to be the most wondrous in Telanis: As a young boy, he was a lost prince. He was taken as a squire and defeated the dragon that killed the knight he served under. When he went to the king of his country for Knighthood, the sorcerer there announced his royal bloodline as the king's heir, kidnapped long ago. Since then he's traveled the lands, building a reputation for his kingdom. (Shondr is also a favorite of Lotus Co., so most things go to his favor.)

Other: Shondr is known worldwide and admired, since Lotus favors him.

Background: Stella was the girl who never belonged to anyone. She is the spunky little orphan who helps others in need, who always gets the bad guy, and is struggling with a bad past, and always defeated it with flying colors. She is naive and trusting, which always gets her into trouble, and she can talk to cats for some reason.

Background: Irina has been living a normal life with the humans, but she feels confused and different around them, since she believed that her parents were killed by them. But the opposite is true, Irina doesn't know, that her parents are alive, some place, at the other side of the town, waiting for her visit. Irina doesn't know of this, and has no loyalty, or trust in humans, so watch out, don't get on her bad side.

Background: Ophelia has lived alone in the forest for as long as she can remember. Many people rarely see her, since she is very shy around new comers. Due to that fact she is commonly known as the "Witch of the Forest". It's true she uses magic, but she never referred to herself as a witch. She didn't really mind what the people thought about her, but did think it was a little harsh to call her a witch when they had never met her in the first place. To tell the truth she never really trusted people in the first place. The only creatures she could trust were animals. They were very kind to her and over time she had learned to speak their language. She also has a harp and plays it for all her animal friends.

Other: She makes her own clothes from the natural resources in the forest. She also does want to see the world beyond the forest, even though the birds warned her about the dangers.

Background:Her mother died when she was born, and her father abused her, until one day two years ago she got so angry at him she used her powers of shadow manipulation to strangle him. She was horrified at her actions and ran away, leaving her boyfriend and little sister behind. She now roams the world trying to find a place she belongs, and trying to find her 'true love' (whatever that is)

Other: She can control shadows and make them do her bidding, but she doesn't have control over it yet, so she's still training it.

Background: Icarus was a gang leader in Cyled. He was very good at leading other people, and had a few scrapes with the law before being caught. For the past couple of years, he's proven to be one of the most efficient Placers in Fold.

Other: Icarus is always listening to music. despite this, he can hear other people perfectly.

Background: Calvin was a cop who asked too many questions. He snuck into a Lotus building and got past the guards, discovering the gateway to Fold on Cyled. His skills with weapons were unparalleled, and he was made into a placer as soon as he was caught.

Other: Calvin is an amazing weapons master, but don't expect any real social skills.

Background: Chelsea was once a favored Telanis character, but her story came to a point where she had to fight a dragon. She lost and was about to be devoured, she was actually meant to, but a lesser character in another story saved the day. Since her tale was about a young girl knight who never was defeated, her story idea was scrapped, and she as removed.

Other: Chelsea was nearly eaten by a dragon. as such, she is paranoid and wears a very large suit of powered armor. without it, she refuses to work. With it, she is a literal tank, with enough power to break metal walls with a sword swing.

Appearance:
Background: Elizabeth was an innocent ten year old child caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. By witnessing a horrid gang fight in which her brother was murdered, the gang members kidnapped her and forced her to join the group. When she was fifteen she was taken by the Lotus and forced to become a placer. She has scars all over her back from fights and torture from the Lotus. Her innocent looks are misleading, which aids her whenever she is seen, which is rare. She just wants to be accepted.
Theme Song: Psycho by Puddle of Mudd
Other:Elizabeth is a very socially awkward person, who's never had a real friend. She rejects others harshly, but under her hard face is an awkward smile. Most of the Placers avoid her since she is frankly scary when provoked, so she usually goes off to manipulate the people of Telanis. She secretly hopes that one of them will see her someday and become her friend.

Appearance: Lenette
Background: Lenette had a show of her own. She was a girl that had to deal with the stresses of her mother and father working as criminal investigators (or the equivalent to them in medieval times). One 'episode' she herself was taken. Of course, with her parents being the best of the best, what did she have to worry about? Everything, apparently. For some reason, this kidnapper was different: smarter, more 'advanced', but insane. For some reason... Her parents just couldn't find her. What had they called her? Ah, right. A 'cold case.' Forgotten and left behind. So, with no other choice (yet not really wanting another) Lenette became a Placer. She's quite happy doing it, because she's bitter; they could've tried harder to find her, she should still have the cameras on her. In her eyes, all of the people in Telanis deserve to be punished in any way possible.

Other: She fell in love with her captor; Stockholm syndrome at work. She hasn't seen him since, and hopes that he's not dead and that she can find him one day. She also hopes to get over that love, though, because really. Why should she love the man that destroyed her story?

Background: N.N was one of the first Placers to be created and eventually, in the process, lost everything about her past life. She is passionate about her job as a placer and will do anything to keep the secret of Lotus Co. from Telanis and Cyled. If she finds any witness, she makes sure to silence them... immediately.

Other: (optional) She has a secret liking to Adirian Menek. Strangely, he looks like someone from her past. Aside from that, she's quite cute. (Think Kagami from Lucky Star.)

Dragon Form
Background: Tag was a baby born to a couple that the Lotus Co. did not want to have children. She has been a placer since before she could walk, and is an expert in the going ons of the company. Her youth makes her a surprisingly excellent.

Other: She has a surprisingly advanced vocabulary, and speaks with an odd accent (On earth it would be called British.)

Weapons: Lotus Co. Mental Re-writer, Sniper Rifle, two Assault Rifles, a silent pistol, bombs, mines, a flamethrower, sometimes exchanges for a shotgun or small machine gun, all those necessities.
Appearance:

Background: Once one of the favorite charactors on TV, Mėna was a loving girl, thought heartless and merciless when it came to her enemies. Her friends, though, she treated with the utmost kindness. It was on her Fifth successful season that the unfortunate end came.
You see, in the show, she was a Bounty Hunter. When someone filed a complaint of someone stealing their cattle, she had nothing else to do, so she took the job.
It was, of course, a dragon. They had failed to mention the 'someone' that was stealing their cattle was the size of five large buildings put together and that it had talons sharper than any sword, teeth longer than Mėna herself, a massive tail, giant wings, rock-hard scales, and best of all, fire in it's throat.
Yay for her.
Luckily, she was saved by a Wizard, a Witch, a Hobo, a Nun, and some kid walking through the forest. Lotus thought that wasn't such a good start to a new adventure, and took her off.
Mėna was thrilled.
