Anyone ever curious as to who is on the other side of that screen when you are talking to someone?
I do. There's already been an age/location thread so I thought I'd make a pic thread? For anyone that's willing to post pictures. Just to make things interesting. Unless I am the only one that wonders about such things. :B

That last one..I was just messing with the camera. The girl in the chair is my best friend. These were taken in..August. I think. So my hair's gotten a little longer.

I never think about the "real person" behind the avi. When on Gaia, I'm playing characters, so I essentially AM the avatar. If I want to be myself, I'll go on Facebook or MySpace or something.
Maybe part of this is because I'm older than many people on Gaia. Those of us with a few decades appreciate the chance to get out of our skins now and then. blaugh

I shall have a pic up here around the end of summer..I know it's a long way off...sorry!
Last year, my mom brought my sister, best friend, and I to the annual StarFest since she's a Trekkie...
I had thrown on my Vash coat that I was for Halloween while running out the door, then we get there, and about a third through the day, we run into these Vash and Wolfwood cosplayers...! We ran screaming, "Running, running, RUNNING!!!" all the way to the bathroom, where we could hide. Then later in the day, some woman caught my friend attempting to take 'stalker' pics of the cosplayers, and she asked us if she wanted to ask them for us for a pic. We ran away again.
Then later, we thought they would leave us alone for good, my friend dropped her journal, and papers went everywhere. I began picking them up hastily, because out of the corner of my eye, I saw the cosplayers coming. We had just finished picking up the papers, and they had finally caught us...
crying
Anyway, you won't get the pics till summer, because we plan to go again to the StarFest as cosplayers ourselves!! =D

Look N0tHuman, my irl appearance is a closely guarded secret, protected by a sect of closely guarded monks high atop the Coches Mountains. They would no sooner dance with a goat than divulge my true appearance. But they will bake you some crustly guarded bread!
