Hello,im not a Christian...but ive been going to a Christian youth-group for about 3 years now....and im shocked to realise that none of the otehr students attending have read the bible, and most of the leaders either havent read the bible,or only read the new testament =/
so i was wondering how many of you have actually read the hole bible?

I'm just looking around for information out of curiosity mostly so thanks for helpign with that

Sadly this is only a too common occurance, people especailly those rasied Chrisitan just dont really bother to read the book itself "to big , to hard" they listen to there Preacher/pastor and take whatever he says at face value and leave it at that.

It's sad, im personally re'reading the NT taking it at a Book or two a day just so i can allow everything to set in.

Have I read the whole Bible? No. I am also a fairly new Christian. I have read the entire New Testament several times, and I am currently reading through the Old Testament. So I am READING the Bible, and strongly encourage everyone else to do so! You'd be amazed at how "random" verses can really really touch you.

ahh thanks for your input guys/girls? o.0 i was talkign to a couple leaders about the bible and they both said that the old testament wasnt important....when a youth leader says things like that i dont feel they should be trying to guide people....mostly becuse they dont appeal to be very commited themselves o.o

They prolly said that because the first 5 books of the OT are apart of the Torah and the OT pertains to Jewish law and culture. It has been said that when Jesus came he brought the NT and made the OT obsolete.

Also there are Christians that do read the Bible, however they like to pick and choose verses that support their own egotistical agendas rather than God's and try to disguise it as God's agenda.

I am almost done with the New Testament! (woo!) And have only read a few of the books from the Old Testament, though I read the Bible everyday! :]

My church has this thing going on that they started on New Year's Day this year. We were gonna get through the whole bible throughout the year, and I started to, but it's hard to remember and we're all so busy.
I want to read the whole bible, and I know I should a lot more than I do, but it's hard to get to it. I really need to start again though.

Two years, no offence but you must be a slow reader.

Read it for two hours a day and you get it smack downed in a fortnight maybe a bit longer if you pause to think a lot.

Finished with the Old Testament, almost done with the New.... it's taken years though, Lol

I also like to get into the historical and archaeological aspects surrounding Biblical events. But sadly, there are many Christians who are not aware of historical facts, Biblical artifacts and relics, or even basic information about the Bible's writers, and the unearthing of certain books.

I myself am new to much of this information.
