Teacher comes to a small clearing in the woods, and cautiously lays Foi down upon the ground. Teacher watches her in silence, as her chest rhythmically moves vertically upwards as she breathes. Teacher sighs, knowing she could awaken any minute. He recalls Armstrong's rash words, and smiles. (He's just like Guillaume...)
Foi gradually opens her eyes. Foi: "Teacher...? I fainted, didn't I?" Teacher: "Yes, but elegantly... you did have me noticed, though." Foi gasps. "I'm terribly sorry!" Teacher: "Do not be sorry, admit to your mistake." Foi: "I... I was foolish. It will not happen again." Teacher: "Good. Now..." Teacher slaps Foi across the face, and her lip begins to bleed. "Quelle idiote! That was a foolish display! Not nearly close to anything I've taught you! You are NEVER to swoop in like that! If that had been a level 2 akuma, it would've found an opening, and killed you!!" Foi gazes at the ground in shame. Teacher: "You ought to apply your knowledge, Foi! Does anything I teach you get through to your brain? Have I taught you nothing?!" "N-no, monsieur, you have. I failed you." Foi's eyes filled with tears, and she buried her head in her hands. Teacher sighs, and sits beside her, a sense of remorse creeping over him. Her lifts her chin, and wipes the blood from her face. Teacher: "I'm sorry to be so stern, Foi. But it is the only way you'll improve... I can't bear the thought of your failure, or worse... you know how much you mean to me." Her eyes still spilt tears, and Teacher could blatantly see this. He smiled, and enveloped her in his arms. Foi's face turned the equivalent shade of a beet, and she trembled in his embrace. Foi: T-th-thank you, monsieur..." Teacher releases her, and helps her to stand. "Come, we need to find a place to stay for the night. I believe there is an inn downtown. The road ahead will be long and dangerous..." Foi: "The road may be so, but at least we'll travel it through together." ~C'est Finis!
