I was maybe thinking of featuring the top 10 most active members (based on how many posts they have in the guild) on the guilds home page. What do you guys think about this?
I also thought about giving prizes to people every time they get 100 posts. meaning at 100, 200, 300, etc. But I can't exactly give away anything good so I don't think we could do that.

It would be nice to have some new posters. I wish I could think of some good thread ideas...
I hear you on the photoshop loss. I recently lost my copy of CS4 and it wouldn't reinstall on my computer, no matter how many times I downloaded it. But I wasn't really a fan of it anyways so I went back and re downloaded my trusty CS2. mrgreen

I'm a CS3 fan myself. Right now I'm currently just playing around with it and checking out tutorial sites to learn new techniques.
My fatal flaw is that I have no creativity, and have no idea what I want to DO in photoshop.

I was the same way when I first got it. It was like OMG YES I FINALLY HAVE PHOTOSHOP!!..... Now what?
Deviantart was my answer. Looking at other peoples are and checking out the very helpful tutorials there was a BIG help for me, it helped me discover stock images which I use to make photomanipulations now. mrgreen

Photos that have been manipulated. How do I explain... *puts on thinking cap* There's two types of manips I do. One is just taking an image and basically drawing on it. I prefer to use eyes for this. Here is an example from my deviantart page: http://magica-28.deviantart.com/art/Zodiac-Eyes-Full-Set-106430969
The other type I do is a little more complicating. I use stock images (which are images uploaded specifically for the artists use in their own work) and put them together to make my own image. Example: http://magica-28.deviantart.com/art/Silver-and-Cold-106935766
The background, and model are each separate images. I cut the model from her original image and put her on the background, then added the falling snow, which was also it's own image, and them messed with the lighting and color and shadows and other stuff to make it look like an actual image, not something I pieced together.
Hopefully that explained it. I didn't know how to go about it without getting super detailed. XD

Got it now. Thanks? What are some good stock photo sites?
+ For your eye photomanip, did you just use the color replacement brush?

For the eyes I used color replacement, dodge, burn, and fancy brushes.
The only stock sites I know of are deviantart and sxc.hu

I'm kinda new but yes that seems like a very good incentive to get members to stay active, the prize thing I don't really know because some people might just post 100 just to get the prize. yes you'll have a lot of posts but also you'll have a lot of posts that mak no sence and were posted just to get a prize.
