I saw that someone posted a topic, asking for help with those terrible cramps, so I posted there, but thought I'd get more attention if I made my own post about this, so, here we go! (btw, I'm a girl who just loves Gackt)

Well, if you really want to get rid of everything ever, go all raw (raw fruits, veggies, nuts, sprouts.) Otherwise, try to cut back on the meat, dairy, and sugars when you know it's comming. That'll help a great deal. I've tried this and it works. I'm now veggetarian, so that helps tons.
When I do get cramps on the second day for a few hours, this is what I do: I carry around a malachite crystal and try to keep it touching my skin near my stomach. It's crystal therapy and amazingly works. I couldn't believe it. I've been doing that a=for about 5 or 6 months now and it works every time! Here is what malachite looks like:

Mine is about half and in or 4-5 cm wide and it's rounded. Hoe this helps everyone.

*sigh* Cutting back on meat to cure all that ails you is largely lies and propaganda, trust me. There's more political motivation to the "meat is bad for you!" movement than scientific.

Going "all raw" for extended periods of time isn't necessarily good for you, either. It may get rid of some problems, but may also bring on a host of others.

And good luck healing yourself with jewelry.

Moonstone is also good for it. I want to get a malachite bracelet or something. I have a little Lepidolite crystal that helps a teeny bit, but although it's a balancer it's not really great for menstruation.

Although, I'm not into the diet tips you've posted. Eating cheese and chocolate actually helps relieve my symptoms, and if you don't find ways to keep your iron levels high then going vegetarian might not be beneficial for menstruation symptoms specifically. I am a vegetarian, but I take two different iron supplements, and if I'm not taking them then my menstrual symptoms get worse.

Someday, I'd like someone to actually test to see if there was any difference between one stone and another... or whether there was any difference between a "magical" crystal and ordinary gravel... double-blind!

We'll probably never get that lucky, though, seeing as how practitioners of such things are so techy when it comes to actually using the scientific method.

'Magical' crystal? I don't think anyone thinks magic has anything to do with it.

When you figure out how to test energy vibrations that relate to a chakra system that has also yet to be scientifically proven, do let me know.
The theories behind crystal energies mostly work on the provision that other beliefs are true. Still, even if it's only a particularly pretty way of tricking your mind, sometimes that's all you need to feel a bit better. It's not like it hurts anyone (as long as they aren't stupid and don't get actual medical advice for actual health problems).

You don't need to test "energy vibrations" or somesuch.

What you do is this: take a random group of people with a certain problem that would be treated by a certain stone. Split them into three groups: give one group a real stone, give one an imitation stone, and give the last group nothing. Make sure they aren't taking anything that would interfere or imitate the stone's alleged effect.

It would be a double-blind test: those observing the different groups wouldn't know which was which, preventing any personal biases from influencing their reports.

I have a few theories as to how the weird and inexplicable works in the world, and according to them then a handful of pea gravel could be just as effective as something commonly accepted as having special properties.

I would seriously love for something like that to be done. The test groups would all have to be a mix of skeptics and non-skeptics though, to try and balance any biased feedback.

Yes, you'd definitely want a mix.

And actually, I see a lot of people claiming stones as "magic." Magic, vibrational energies, chi, mana, whatever you call it... seems to me to be referring to the same general concept.

I've never heard anyone call them magic if they were being serious about it.
I personally think there is a difference between all those things, even if energies/chi/chakra etc have similar concepts behind them.

The pagans/wiccans do.

This page sums up how I feel it would work, if it does indeed work.

Quote:
This is the role that they play in the human equation. By becoming the focus of a myth that can be brought into reality, they provide the human with a tool that can be used for just such a purpose. Using them as an amulet or token that can be the focus. The human mind assigns it psychic power that actually brings about the sought after reality.

Quite the optimist, huh? Ah well. Going all raw is very contraversial, but I've seen and read on many people who are all raw, even some that are body builders. There are old men too who do this and are perfectly healthy, not to mention having a full head of hair and are actually pretty darn good looking O_O Can't believe I said that *shakes head* It also can help get rid of cancer, if t's not too late already. Going all raw is very good, I'm just having a hard time giving up sweets. I'm addicted, lol.
BTW, crystals are not 'healing', they help relieve you of symptoms of the problems you have, you have to change your diet to heal yourself. n_n

Make sure to eat dark, leafy greens, like kale and chollard ~ nasty things, but that'll help out with iron and calcium if I remember right.

ha-ha,yeah, magic? Not into that, sorry. Crystals give off waves, like she said and that helps to align your chacaras and what not to help you. Yeah, some of it is mind tricks, but some isn't.
