I herby call for Brett's job after his failure at quaterbacking today facing the Raiders. The rookies are going to be there longer and they will need experience. I hate Brett Farve and Hope someone hits him like they did Brady. I hate farve, and demand they play the rookies as they have an excuse for sucking and letting the raiders win.

Why not fire Eric Mangini? He stuck to the conservative run game late in the game and in overtime. Favre is a QB that can win games with his abilities. He barely threw the ball to his best targets; Cotchery and Coles.
To get beat in overtime by the Raiders is embarrassing.

Farve threw two picks before Mangini pulled into the run. Frave had poor passing in OT and that's why we lost. Brett had opions to throw too he just picked bad ones. He threw a pick in OT, but it was dropped. I don't care how much someone respects him he is not consistent enough to be a good Quaterback this year. I wish we had Pennington back. At least he was consistent. Farve turned the ball over 4 times, and against the raiders. He needs to step down and let the rookies who are the future fight for the spot on the Jets. He was a waste of a draft pick plain and simple

He led a great drive at the end of regulation, a little over a minute in time, to lead the Jets to a game-tying FG to force overtime. What was bad was the play calling in overtime, which was too conservative. With one of the best WR tandems in the NFL, he threw to Baker and unexperienced receivers more than he should have. The play calling was bad, not Favre. And how is Favre less consistent than Pennington? The Jets are on pace to win twice as many games this year than last year under Chad, who was even benched during the season. Pennington is a decent QB, but I still think that acquiring Favre was a great short-term move. Coaching lost the game for the Jets, not Favre.

If we had won the game I still would have called out Farve as I have been for the past 6 weeks. We were conservative in OT because Farve turned the ball over twice in the Air. The Ground attack was working great and it was a safe approach. Last year we lost our line and we did poorly because of it. Pennington took us to a play off birth his comeback year.

The Jets won the coin toss in the start of overtime. They elected to receive the ball. After the kickoff, they had the ball just inside their own 20 yard line. What do they do? They run the ball three straight times for a three-and-out, when you have a great QB and two very good receivers. That's why they lost to the Raiders, because of the play calling.

You can't blame it all on Favre, not only is it the coaches fault.....but THE D didnt show up! Thats where th eproblem lies, not Brett. The Jets arent going anywhere this year, they will do solid and maybee come out strong next year, free agency will be the key for them.

The defense didn't play great, but solid enough to win. It's easier to score 13 points on the Raiders, than to give up 16 points on the Raiders. The defense was able to hold Oakland to field goals (and long ones), when the Jets failed to score more than one TD on a mediocre defense.

I guess this is partially true...but its the freaking Raiders! They have only won like 12 games since they were smashed by Tampa in 37.

Farve was horrible on Sunday (and Meh every other game aside from Arizona). I would have ran it too. We kicked their a** with the run all day. Farve was throwing garbage that game. He is lucky that the Radiers can't catch on defense or they would have scored on an INT in overtime and this conversation would be a whole lot more in my favor. Look just because he kicked a** in Green Bay doesn't mean he is good for the Jets. He made the point he can play and added to his record, but he needs to stand down and let us more forward. I like the conservative playing on your own 20 when your quaterback has turned it over three times and got saved once. Hell I like conservative play all together. We can't run a West Coast Offense with Farve at the helm we will have to establish a run for him to be effective.

Honestly as i seen the weeks go by i havent seen brett really be used to his maximum extent. Its maybe because you cant leave jones or washington w/o no exposure.

We were not conservative all game. Farve forced us to play conservative! He was throwing garbage all day. Look at his rating it was s**t and showed how he played. Put in Clemens at least he has a future with the team. Our line was good until we lost Woody!
Farve is a throw it up there type of quater, and that isnt' what the Jets need.

When Chris Baker gets 5 receptions on the opening drive, you know something is wrong. When Cotchery gets three targets and one catch, and Coles gets six targets and four catches, something is wrong. The playcalling was horrendous all game. Yes, the run worked really well for the Jets against the Raiders, but in order to keep the defense honest and exposed to productive plays, passes and rushes have to be mixed together well enough to establish a balanced attack.
