So I had an idea for a new tattoo, and I thought that I would put the two masculine elements on one leg, and the two feminine elements on the other.

But I'm confused as to which elements belong to which gender.

I think I may have them right, but someone may need to correct me.

Masculine: Air and Fire
Feminine: Earth and Water

I don't remember if I've ever read anything 'official' about genders to the elements... Nor do I ever really think of the elements with genders. But if I was to try to attach genders to them (in 2/2), I would probably call Air and Water female, and Earth and Fire male. But it's hard to say, 'cause even after I thought of that, I started questioning myself... It's easy to see all four elements as both genders, at least for me. But I figured I'd put in my two sense...

That makes sense actually. I do recall reading material in which the author had classified all four elements, however the name of the author and the book escapes me. Perhaps it all rests within perception.

This one book I've read called "pure magic" said that the elements Air and Fire tend to be more Masculine and Earth and Water are more Feminine. so yes, you are correct
