It inveribly comes that in no matter what Yaoi/Slash forum I'm in the discushion come to pet peves and what should not be done. So I'm going to do something to n** it in the butt here, by asking the opposite.
What makes you go ^.^ when you see it in a fic (other than pairings, please) ?
Do you like cameos form other searies? (I do if I know who it is.)
Crossdressing?
Love triangles or confushion (Yami thinks that Yugi likes Jou, but he's just been helping him with Honda's bitrthday prezzie, for example) ?
Group reactions?
Pets? (Furred, feathered scaled or finned?)
Undefined Uke/Seme?

What makes you go ^.^ when you see it in a fic? Tough charactesr blushing ^^
Do you like cameos form other series? yeah, but small.
Crossdressing? for comedy stories
Love triangles or confushion? always fun, but sometimes overdone
Group reactions? mah... only if it enhanses angst ^^;
Pets? if they add relevance or fluffiness, sure.
Undefined Uke/Seme? Meh. It really depends on the story, but I usually like psychologically-reasoned uke-seme reasoning.

In fanfictions, I tend to like unique ideas, though not so unique it doesn't even seem like a YUU*GI*OU fanfiction or doesn't make sense. I also like literate fictions where you can tell the author worked hard and characters to be in character enough.. I really like angsty fiction. I also used to have a thing for humor, but that has beccome so random and pointless that I'm now leaning more towards spiritual in it's place.

What makes you go ^.^ when you see it in a fic (other than pairings, please) ? Well, I love good storylines, with humor and drama and twists thrown in. It's not all about the p0rn, people. o_o Although, detailed and well-written scenes of the aforementioned are quite nummy. Still, I prefer a plot line outside of that, something that draws you in. Also, the characters must be somewhat believable or it takes away from the fic. Originality, please! Sad endings rock, because...they really make everything come to life and makes the emotions real. If an author can make me feel real emotional attachment to the characters in the story, I'm hooked.
Do you like cameos form other searies? (I do if I know who it is.) Yes, especially when you don't know who it is until later in the series! It's fun!
Crossdressing? It can be cute, but it depends on the fic.

It's simply hilarious, sometimes sad, and it makes you wonder exactly how and who is going to win in this triangle/circle. Some authors even have polls on their comments, to see what pairing their readers ultimatly want. It's so much fun, because you are interacting and becoming a part of the story.
Group reactions? Fun. ^-^
Pets? (Furred, feathered scaled or finned?) I don't like furries. x_x However, in one AFF fic, Shadowed Violet, Malik gets cat ears and a tail put on him and /that/ is adorable.
Undefined Uke/Seme? Hilarious. Psychoshipping ( Yami no MalikxYami no Bakura ) happens to be one of the most hilarious cases in that field. And other fics, where people like Ryou and Yuugi suddenly become dominant...or prideshipping, where Atem and Seto are always fighting for control...
It's the s**t. o_o

What makes you go ^.^ when you see it in a fic (other than pairings, please) ? Pairings aside (I need to mention it, because to me, it IS very important. ^^; ) It has to be well written, a good plot, prefferably original, and the characters have to be well done! I can't STAND horribly OOC stuff. x.o I know there's a great level of interpretation to this, but sometimes, its so blatantly awful.... (Few people seem to be able to, for example, write Seto correctly yet still get him into the pairing they want.)
Do you like cameos form other series? I dunno, depends, really. x3 But crossovers can be fun, so I guess so. ;3
Crossdressing? XD I've done that in rps, though I have yet to read it in a fic.

Group reactions? They're good to have in there simply for cannonness/accuracy/whatever. Most people tend to leave this out, but there really is the whole group and it IS very important to the dynamic of yugioh, so really, a fanfiction is better when it's NOT left out. However, it usually is, and I do so a lot myself. sweatdrop

Undefined Uke/Seme? Hmm.... battles over who can be on top can be entertaining. ;3 Some, like Yugi, are almost always on bottum (which makes it all the better when they end up on top sometime, especially if not under the direction of the usual seme. XD)

What makes you go ^.^ when you see it in a fic (other than pairings, please) ? Well... anything really. I have no standards. As long as it's well-written and has a good plot (or if it's a good PWP) it works for me.
Do you like cameos form other searies? Sometimes. It depends on if the character is there for a reason and what that reason is. I hate cameo Mary-Sues. mad
Crossdressing? Crossdressing? It rocks. ;3 I love to think of tough characters, or even the cute ones, in dresses or skirts. I even wrote a fic on it!

What makes you go ^.^ when you see it in a fic (other than pairings, please) ? Plot! Plot is very top on the list. In fact I have been known to read fics where I HATE the pairing but the plot was so damn good I couldn't stop reading it.

I really like alternate universe fics, it because it is fun to see the charactesr in different situations than they would normally be in. However, I don't like it when it's so AU that it starts to warp the characters personalities.

I hate unhappy endings, and I typically won't even read a story if it mention at the beginning that it has a sad ending. sweatdrop
Group reactions? so few fics actually do this that it is hard to say. Though I will say I hate when people make the whole group suddenly cast out the character after discovering their sexual preferences. I read a fic once that Yuugi found out Yami liked Seto, and he just about kicked him out of the house. That's just completely OOC for Yuugi, he, more than any of the others, would be much more understanding about that.

Undefined Uke/Seme? I'm a bid prideshipper and scandalshipper, and well, arguments over who is going to be uke are practically required for those couples so definitely. Targetshipping heart can also go both ways, but I've only ever seen one fiction of this couple. crying

What makes you go ^.^ when you see it in a fic (other than pairings, please) ? hmm i have different likings, but i would definally go for something spiritual, religious type. mostly when it comes where the charcter only tries to make use of life, angst, depression, suicidal is my type. it also like what i think the character wants to do is be recognize by others. thats what i like. but it has to be a very good one for my decision to like it or not. some are just stupid...they don't actually write what will he or she feel. emotions is what i see and actions.

AND YOUR WITH WHO? see no point.

Undefined Uke/Seme? blah! how should i know im a depressing person. lets see...hmm..im mostly a ryou fanatic. howerver i have my moment where i say, i should look for other couples how they work. some do and some are well...not good. there was one fic where it had the POV of amane. it was rather long very long but it didn''t quite make sense to me. i like long ones if they are very good written. as for my self i just write when im down and they turn good. 0.o weird what depression can do. in any case, i think hikaris at some point turn themselves like their yami. it makes it very surprising and awesome, how many think he is puny when in fact. he can also be represented as somehting else.

Do you like cameos form other searies?: Sometimes. As long as the crossover isn't too random and everyone is IN CHARATER, I dig it. For example, I remember reading a really good Teen Titans/Danny Phantom crossover. If you want a link to the story, PM me.
Crossdressing?: Meh........ I only like having the charaters crossdress if it's humorous like for example Joey loses a bet with Tristan, and he's forced to wear Mai's clothes for a week. Besides, I prefer having the charaters' gender switched. Hehehehehe... twisted

I don't mind if its Dark Magician, because it WAS originally Mahaado ^^;
Has anyone noticed that the 3rd Knight card (King's knight, Queen's knight, I forget the third. It's not price... maybe it's page's?) looks kind of like Seto?
