Here's some photos I've taken of a couple of sketches and drawings of mine. I'd like to scan them, but I don't have any access. In addition, I'm restricted in my materials, so please excuse e.g. thick black lines. I hope someone likes them!

Firstly, this is my character Ruth - she looks a bit younger than I imagin her, but oh well. I'd like to colour it, but I need some better supplies

This is a shield I did for a friend who's logo is the lame face; above is the shield uncoloured and below is the same shield coloured

Finally, this is a drawing I did years ago - the face and the hand are dodge, but I really like how the knees, cape, pants ets looked good. So basically the bottom half of the picture

P.S. I'll edit this when I successfully resize these pic >.>

(Appears mysteriously out of the ether.)

Ohhh, nifty. I hope I'll be able to see them if they do get resized!

Cheers! biggrin

(And vanishes again. For now.)

What medium did you use for the third picture?

Hmmm. (Peers closely at the picture in question.) I'm guessing it was either colored pencils or maybe pastels. Kinda hard to tell at this resolution. Looks good at any rate. smile

Lulu figured as much. Judging be the shading she'd guess it's colored pencil. It has lines in the shadows. You probably wouldn't get that with pastels, but it's still hard to be sure.

Yeah I used coloured pencils, and it looks better in real life than in the picture because the flash meant that there was all sorts of imprtfections taht wouldn't be seen ordinarily. It's like the exposure was too high in parts, that sort of thing. Alas, I lack a scanner >.>

(Nods nods) I hear you. Although scanners aren't perfect, either-- for some reason mine likes to lighten up pictures sometimes or do weird things with the colors... and then I have to futz around with the image in my computer's paint program, which is a pain. O_o;

@Pie - What kind of image editing program do you have on your computer? I would assume they all have contrast adjustment. I know Microsoft Photo, Adobe Photo, PhotoImpressions, and Image Mixer all have it for sure. That'll definitely take care of the lightening problem and chances are it'll help with a lot of color problems too. (Depending on what's causing them of course.)

I use GIMP (because it's free.) And yeah, it does have contrast/color adjustment stuff, but it's still kind of a pain to have to use them. xp

Well, I tend to be kinda lazy myself, so it sometimes seems like a lot of bother. 3nodding
