Backstory: In the city of Tear Belanth (Bright Bounty), three elven families vie for power and control. Territory, jobs, and the best of anything is contested. Not all the battles are fought in the open, some are won by cunning and bribes. There are other magical creatures, but they pale in comparison to the elven families enfluance.
The first family is the D'Antuire. Rich, powerful (even among the families), and haughty, they run the gambling rings and major corporations in the city. They live in the largest tower in the middle of downtown, Tear Holun (Bright Home). It is their symbol of power, and as long as it stands, they will not give any ground. They are set apart from the other elves for their pale skin and light hair, tall, thin bodies, and often serious expressions.
The second is the Copozee. They are influintial (more so than the D'Antuire), quick-minded, and charasmatic. Yet, they are ridiculed by others, for their short stature and child-like appearance. They are quick to anger also, ruthless as well. Their main source of income comes from the many stores that are geared towards children. Candy, toys, anything a child likes, the Copozee will make it for them and then sell it at a reasonable price. Their only weakness.
Lastly, yet never the least, are the Lolthel. Ruthless, cunning, self-serving, and evil, they are the loan-sharks, gamblers, hit-men, and numerous other less 'respectable' jobs. They will do anything to further their own mechanisms, even sticking a knife in the back of a trusted family member. Their domain is Keral Belanth (Dark Bounty), the underground of the city. Tunnels and caverns, not just the sewars mind you, belong to them, and only them. They were given a nickname by their cousins, the Keral Agor or 'dark kin'. Just as much to scorn them as to warn others. Set apart by their dark skin and their odd colored hair, they are tall, and lithe, but more predatory than their 'brighter' cousins.
