I don't think we can be sure, but I would like to think that they do. smile

I know a lot of Christians who really believe they do, and some who don't... so... I don't know... God does. razz razz

animals are animals
animals have jobs
to keep this earth spinning for us
and to be a compainion to us

animals dont have souls
animals dont go to heaven

this is what i belive
ive had pets before who all have died

i kno it stinks that i wont see them again
but they served there purpose to be there for me
and thats why im ok to let them go

Pets don't have soul. And so far I know only creatures with soul go to heaven, since they are the only ones with the choices in life.
But there can well be animals in heaven still. They just are not the same animals we knew here on Earth.
I have lost several pets along my life. They all were dear to me, and I enjoyed the years together and were really sad when they died. But like Seority said, I think that was the time they had.

I would have to agree with that. There's isn't in the Bible that talk about animals souls going up to heaven. Only souls of people ever go to heaven.

From what I can gather, God created man and animals (duh). He has dominion over us and we have it over animals. Which would point that animals aren't as big of a priority to Him as we are.

Well, here's a scripture that makes me believe they do:

Isaiah 11:6-9

"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea. "

In this passage, the prophet Isaiah is talking about the New Jerusalem, which is basically theplace where all believers will live for eternity after the battle of Armegeddon. This shows us that there will be animals. So, there should be our pets. We may not recognize them, it may no longer be important to us. We'll exist to serve God, not to serve ourselves. He'll give us a job that's so well fit for us, that no one else could fit that spot.
I think that though God created people specially to rule over animals, he also created the animals because he saw beauty in them too.

But I'm just gonna trust that whatever God's got up there is way better than anything we could ever imagine, so I'm not going to worry about it.
