It just seems like, even though I'm in a relatively big city, none of the local bands I've bumped into that were looking for a singer wanted anything clean, just ear-piercing screeching or indeterminable pukish noises.
I dunno, it's not like I'd want a serious position as a singer, at least not yet, but it's just a bit disconcerting how little respect for actual singing there seems to be. And... I was in a band before, in high school I spent most of my time playing with a band that pretty much just liked playing songs in our garages instead of actually playing anyplace. We also just did covers of whatever 70s-80s hair-like stuff we knew/felt like. But anyway!

No, its not just you. However, most of the bands that I like to listen to the most have clean-ish singers. Eh, we'll have clean singers once swearing get old (if it ever does).
