http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b24063_lindsays_converting_oy_vey.htmlLindsay told family and friends she decided to convert after learning about the Jewish religion from her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson. Sam's family is Jewish and is said to be supportive of Lindsay's move. Still, Lindsay's father is skeptical Linds will stick with it. "She's exploring right now," he says. "She's explored the Church of Scientology, she tried Kabbalah, and now this. I think it's just another phase. But either way, she's involving God in her life, and I'm happy about that." --- This will last until she learns she cannot go out clubbing on Friday nights anymore. And now 4 pictures to help you figure out what the poll question is.

I definitely don't want her to attempt Judaism, but facepalm suited my reaction better.
I don't mind people converting to Judaism, but for one, it's Lindsay Lohan. Secondly, she's probably just doing it for some publicity....

Riddle Me This, Riddle Me That,At first I felt the facepalm reaction, but after thinking about it I don't see what the problem is. If she goes through with the conversion and she takes on Judaism well and everyone is happy then that's fine by me.

rainy day blues If she goes through with the conversion and she takes on Judaism well and everyone is happy then that's fine by me. Yeah but I think she will look at it, say "wow, this is really complicated and requires self discipline and abstention from things that are societal norms... I wonder if being a baptist is more fun." Hense my face palm. Not a "We don't want you," but a "You're gonna fail so hard," reaction.

Haha, I only put do want because I like that picture best.
As for Lindsey, meh. I doubt she'll even stick with it, but if she does it's not like she'd convert to Orthodoxy.
Oh, and I speak from personal experience when I say being a baptist is not more fun. I'd much rather be stoned (not the good kind) then go back to one of those churches.

I actually know Lindsay. She lives quite close to my aunt and I see her once in a while. She's a nice enough girl, and she's straightened up recently. There's not much party girl left. She's gone all calm and hippish. That's why she and my aunt get on so well lol. So I think that maybe she really might do it, and stick to it. If not, then I'll tell you what religion she's choosing next exclusively lmao.

I'm planning to go camping with some of the group members and we need a tent mate for In Medias Res. Oh yeah BTW... some time next summer we're going camping, I'm bringing the kitchen, but I will go out of my way to get glat kosher MRE's for the Glat Kosher folks if they want to join us.

Behatzlacha-S Where is it? Sounds like fun. Sorry, I forgot where you're based. Dis Dommu says that Bear Spring Mountain in New York State is a decent place, so that's what we're looking at. Canoe Rentals and such, I'm thinking 4 or 5 days would be cool before we all get sick of each other. Something like Friday morning we get there, Friday night we have sabbath, Saturday we sit around talk to one another maybe take in the nature walks, saturday we end sabbath and have a gianormous outdoor meal, Sunday we take all the campsite has to offer, Monday we leave.
