Wow, a bunch of stuff has happened since I was last on Gaia. Guess I'll start with earlier this year.
I graduated from high school this May, and that was pretty sweet. Took a lot of weight off my shoulders and really freed up my schedule until college. Right afterwards, the band and chorus from my school took a fine arts trip to Colorado for a week. That was pretty sweet.
Then I've just really been working a lot this summer. I still work for my dad at his printing business. I got hired at the local theatre almost a year ago. And I still work for a guy I know helping to set up auctions and tearing them down. Crazy money.
With all that money I earned I bought an 80 gig iPod Classic back in the spring. During the summer I bought two new bass guitars, a Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass Remake, and a Michael Kelly Acoustic Bass. Both of which are amazing. I also ordered an amp, but it hasn't shipped yet, frikkin Musicians Friend. And lastly I recently bought a Samsung Glyde phone for college. It's sweet.
Went down to Florida in early June to look for housing for college and we found a sweet apartment complex that my friend and I are going to share an apartment at. Its amazing. And I've been buying stuff at the auctions I work at to decorate my room and stuff. My biggest thing is a couple garbage bags full of xmas lights that I'm going to string all over my room and use as lighting when I see fit. lol
So yeah, ive got about a month and a half of working left, then I'll be spending 100% of my time getting ready for college. We drive down to Florida on the 11th or 12th, I don't remember which day we leave, and move into our apartment on the 15th.
Orientation is like, the 22nd or whatever, and we actually start, I think, on the 27th. Not too sure.
From then on it's 21 months straight of two 4 hour classes a day every weekday and weekends off. No job. No worries. Lots of time to practice bass. lol

Yeah, I'll probably stay around longer this time. Gonna have a little more free time in a couple months when I don't have to work at all during college.
It should be fun. I'll edit my first post later tonight probably, so you all know what's new with me and all.

I'm going to warn you though, my video game side has become more... refined, I guess. I dunno, I don't really play that many video games nowadays. I'll probably start back up again more during college. Since I AM going for Video Game Design. lol
I'd definitely say that bass guitar is now my main hobby though.

I prefer rock and alternative myself. Maybe some jazz or blues. Nothing hardcore though, that style doesn't strike my fancy.

Haha, we'll see then. If he's got some sweet bass lines, I might be twisted into doing it, but if its the same note over and over again...
My only pet peeve is when my band's songwriter writes songs with a boring bass line or no bass line at all.
So I listen to Rush and Jaco Pastorius. The only reason I got the Geddy Lee bass is because the Jaco Pastorius remakes are frikin expensive. lol
