The drunk guy, thinking that the bottle is a light-bulb, announces in his clever way that he has an idea. As concluded by his makeshift bulb, his idea was not very bright and left a scar on all parties present.

OK, OK... I tell what the guy is doing. He's filling in this: into a glass for me (or my friend - it's not quite clear to me whose that glass was wink ). You basically hold the bottle as high above your head as you can and the glass as low as you can. And then you let the liquid land in the glass. And then you of course drink it.
