Today, Tonight, Tomorrow
In drunken bars of wildness Or satellites of joy Mother Dearest sheds a tear In a fragile, moonless sky
The sun set not too long ago A moonless face arises I dissipate into sadness But yet I still rejoice
The silverware is soft It pads its feet in silence As I close my eyes drifting to sleep There only comes a gladness
A swing set looks empty But looks are not too bright I close my eyes and see before me- A land of ever shining sun
It’s bright, it’s warm, and keeps me happy Yet when I open my eyes I see none It’s like a dream I cannot wake, A world I cannot enter
As sun sets once more for me The rest of the world goes on It seems I am a forgotten soul Or at least a lost, old pawn
Today is bright and cheery Tonight is sad and gloomy If time permits I understand Why all is right for them
Tomorrow I shall mourn For all forgotten souls Like me they lose their life Slowly, yet so fast to go
If anyone had known me They lost me in the breeze If you can find me somewhere Then look to the earth above
A tree wilts in sadness The sea is still as stone But I walk as ghost in house So lost and so unfound
No one seems to miss me A cold wind pushes by I shiver in the cold it gives me Maybe I’m just not to fight
My tale has but ended A gift is given on The gift of life I cannot take And never will see again
So many have forgotten Too many have remembered But none are in my memory And so shall it remain so
