we have all lost loved ones. Be them family members, friends or much loved pets. Here is a place for us to remember them, tell stories about them, honour their memories with love, dry the sad tears with smiles. Grief has its time, but the happiness that a loved one gives you lasts forever afterwards.

How ironic that you post this on the day that would have been my grandfathers birthday and one day after what would have been my mothers.
One day I will post on this thread about my loved ones that have passed (which have been many, some too soon) just not right now.
Thank you for his thread. 3nodding

When my grand daughter immediately became my grand angel 3+ years ago my only chance to see her was at her funeral. I was immediatel struck with how pretty she was, (they had done a really good job, she honestly looked like a sleeping baby in a bassinet or something) After the service, on my way out, I asked my sister if she had a camera (no one had had one inside the funeral) and it turned out she did, in her car. I asked my son and DIL's permission, and we ended up with 4 pictures or the baby. When I asked my mom later if she thought that was odd to take pictures under those circumstances ... she said considering she had not had even a portion of a life time for us to get pictures of her, it sounded perfectly normal to want pictures of her Anyway, I am always mindful of the fact that it is sometimes upsetting to even think about babie like Rebeccah, let alone see a picture, but in case there is any interest, I did want to provide this link: Rebeccah

But on that cold day I lost someone that absence would change my life for the better and the worse. He was a strong man who was always there for me. He always had his smile on and his great additude. He got sick for a while never told us of his medications. And he sadly died. I saw the abulence on my way home from school.

Lizzy, I remember seeing Rebeccah's picture years ago (I think before neo objected to real life photos,) and she still looks so peaceful and beautiful. I remember seeing a similar photo of a woman's two twin baby girls who she had to deliver stillborn and premature, and the hospital let her hold them and take beautiful photos of them together surrounded by stuffed animals. They also looked peaceful and sleeping. This woman was from an infertility forum I used to frequent long ago.
I'm trying to remember if the account name that Rebbecah's photo used to be on was.. littlemissladybugger? Is that your son's ex who you took in when she was a teen who you told us about? Or am I misremembering? (wouldn't surprise me if I was!)
And I have no idea why the url links often mess up like that when everything about them seems right, but they show up fine in a quote. It's happened to me as well.

Is that your son's ex who you took in when she was a teen who you told us about? Yes, my sister has an account called 'littlemissladybugger' that is dedicated to Rebeccah, and Rebeccah's mommy is Joanne, who I had taken in when she was a teenager, and she ended up really surprising us and marrying my oldest son when he got ready to go in the military. It just kind of fell apart for them after Rebeccah passed on, and she is the one who remarried, left the Army, (they went in together when they married) and had a new baby which I eventually *had to* tell my son and then shared with the couch in the thread about "My Favorite Christmas Goody" (starting to sound like I need my own forum to keep all this straight rofl )

neonibbles Liz, I found this for your angel... I hope you like it. Oooohhhhhh, I love it! Yes we are pretty sure she would have been a little blondie since all three of mine are, and so was her mommy. I will go put a copy in her file (yes even a little Grand Angel can get their own files in Nana's computer!) heart EDIT: ended up in three places... Rebeccah, Angels and Animated Gifs, yes I am a little bit OC eek
