My Mom told me about this girl that was kept in a closet by her parents. They put here in there when she was 4 years old and made her live in there for 8 years. The family had an older brother and a couple of younger siblings, so it wasn't because they didn't want her, I don't think... they just didn't want her around, didn't want to see her.
She ate leftover scraps from the dinner, when they gave it to her. When they (the whole family) left for, say a movie or something, they would let her out and she would have to clean the house when they were gone. Remember, she was 4 when they put her in there, and she did NOT COME OUT! SHe had to live in her own filth and she was stashing food in her pockets because she didn't get fed everyday.
Here's the kicker: nobody knew she was in the closet. When the parents would entertain, the guests never knew, they didn't even know they had her. The girl couldn't make noise or she would get beaten.
Well, as afore mentioned, the girl had an older brother, who was okay for the first about 4 years, but then he started being mean to her. He would make her preform sexual favors for him for food, and of course she did it she was STARVING!
Eventually she got sick, like deathly sick. Her little brother mentions it to someone at school.
Everyone's like "No, we've seen your sister, she's not sick/she looks fine."
And the brother replies "Not her, my other sister."
Now the closet sister didn't go to school, so everyone was like "Huh?"
Well, they call the police to go check it out, and they find her. Well of course they arrest the parents on site. They authorities originally thought she was 8 when they found her, but she was 12 and weighed 60 pounds. She looked so emaciated and dead looking she looked like a holocaust victim.
I don't know what happened to the parents, but I DO know that the girl has an adopted family and is in therapy.
At least she got away from those wretched parents of hers.

How couls you do that to your kid...she's like 18 maybe 20 now and she's still in therapy.

that really is messed up! Not all parents are perfect and always do the right things but seriously taking a child and locking them up in a closet like that years whith barley any food and.... scream THAT MAKES ME WANT TO FIND THOSE PARENTS AND SHOW EM MY VIOLENT SIDE! THAT POOR GIRL IS MOST LIKELY GONNA HAVE A LOT OF MENTAL ISSUES FOR A LONG TIME CUZ OF THAT!!!

yea but some many people and kids are abused everyday and im some many different ways....it really sucks for those bein abused cuz it can really mess them up
I'm not sayin that i was abused but my mom often takes out her stress on me and calls me names. I remember when i was 11 i forgot to do a few dishes in the sink before she got home from work and she started yelling at me telling me that i was a stupid b!tch who couldn't do anything right and that i was a worthless peice of sh!t and repeated how useless i was and that i was an idiot that no one wanted and a little later she called me a whore and said i looked like some little hoochie off the street. I was really upset and tried to kill myself that night becuasse i couldn't stand everyone telling me how useless i was and i thought it would be better for me to die then to be the unwanted mistake child that most people around me made me feel i was. my dad when i was 5 had very seriosuly told me he would shoot me with his gun if i ever dyed my hair. He called me a slut when i was 11 after he saw a picture of me in jeans with lacing on the side that he asked my mom to send him so he could see what his children looked liked. When i was younger and lived with him , when he did somehting wrong he would punish me and sometimes hit me telling me that i was suppose to be responisble and that as a 5 year old, older sister i'm suppose to take care of my baby brother when my mom isn't home (so he wouldn't have to admit that he was a bad father and would rather talk to whores online then watch his almost 1 year old son)
Maybe I'm just a wuss for taking the words that people used on me a little too seriously but i still doubt myself a lot and often have periods of time where i think i'm completley useless unneeded garbage and that all i do is screw up......
wow i should stop typing out stuff that no one wants or needs know but I continue anyway......

omg I'm so sorry * hugs * You are needed. Everyone is needed. Everyone would be devastated if you were to disappear. Never EVER let anyone tell you that you are trash because you are not. You are a human being. I'm sorry that your parents treated you like that, they had no right. Please do not think of yourself as unwanted. I'm sure there is someone somewhere who will need you desperately one day.

its really sick how some parents could treat their kids like that...
i once read a book where the mom did something like that. she locked her kids up in an attic and the food she gave them contained drops of poison. she tried to kill them slowly, all jus so she could inherit her family's fortune! how could you put money before your kids!?!?
@shaddow vipper: aaawwww...i'm really sorry you had to go through all that. never let anyone lead you to believe that your worthless. you're special, maybe in more ways than one. i might not know you very well, but we all have a purpose in life. you might not be able to recognise it now, but keep striving towards your goals and you'll see that you're meant for greater things. there are ppl who love you and somewhere there's someone who really cares about you, someone who might be lost without you...so never give up

@Agika- Whoa...an attic?!?! With poison food? I wouldn't do that to my enemies, let alone my kids!
Did the mom get caught or did she end up killing the kids?
Please tell me she got caught and is in jail for....like...ever!

thhhaaannkk you both Firregani and Agika ^__^ you both are very nice and i thank you for you kindness and umm my friends I say are the only reason I am here cuz they are the ones alaways telling me how much they dont know what they would do without me so whenever i start thinking like that I think of them and i start to feel bewtter again
and and MyObsessionIsGaara yea I agree he is just a overal complusive pathological liar jerk who doesn't care for his kids so I have every right to dislike him so i dont really care what I or anyone else calls him
