I've been trying to catch up on life. Tying to earn points in the real world. By no means does this mean socializing. I've been playing the piano more often. I'm writing again, poems and attempting another journal, hopefully not to set this one aflame. With work, yeah, as of tonight, I'm probably going to quit. Sleeeeep. This, I've been doing good with. I used to stay awake until one on good days. Now, I aim for nine, get in bed by ten, fall asleep by eleven. Except for tonight; I'm upset, and I'm trying to catch up on Gaia. Agni knows I'm missed so much on ASN. Since my ADD, teenage internal clock, and habit of staying awake keep me from falling asleep, I've adopted taking melotonin. It sort of works. I think. I think it also makes it harder for me to get up in the morning though. ... Well, I'm sleeping all day tomorrow. Regaining myself. I don't know. At least I'm sucking in less computer radiation. Still, I need to do more.

[/lifeupdate] Anyone else?

Melotonin is what your body naturally produces to make you fall asleep. Teenagers don't usually start making it until around eleven, and they don't stop until around nine, which is why it makes no sense that school starts at like, 7:30 to 8:00 am. Also, I have ADD, which keeps me up, thinking.

Well, that explains why I like going to bed late and waking up late. ^^;;;

Yeah, it doesn't change until around age 21. Schools that have changed to later times have actually gotten less latenesses and dropout rates. Plus, grades and testing are better, seeing how the testers' brains are actually functionable.

I'm wondering.... According to that, is it normal for me to wake up in the morning at around 9am and be sleepy at around 9pm?

Yeah, I always thought it was ridiculous that my school started at 7:20am. Earliest starting school that I know of. And they wonder why some people don't do well and never show up on time...

Well, nine in the morning sounds right. Nine at night, I don't know. But it's healthier that way, I think. 3nodding I think it's supposed to be seven hours after you wake up you start getting sleepy, and may take a nap, but I don't know what age group that is.

Yeah. sweatdrop I think that it depends on the person how many hours the body needs. "Research" shows that teens/adults usually only need nine hours of sleep, but I work better with 10-12 (I rarely hit 12hrs, though).

I love getting 12 hours of sleep. Not like I do anything in the morning, anyway...

I like getting around ten, and then napping during the day for about three hours, when I can.
I know that sounds ridiculous, but it's oh so good.

Teens are at least ten, I think. Adults are nine. When I am not woken, I'll sleep sixteen hours or so. And if ever I nap, I sleep until nine at night and never fall back to sleep.
