Well since the necks are different on the RR's than the Deans first thing is it should depend on what your preference on that is. I used to play the Paul set ups (24" scale, ect ect) for 8 years. then I made the switch to jackson type set ups. never looked back.
thats why my vote goes for the RR

Razorback, I have a Jackson Rhodes the shape looks cool but when your hitting your bass player with your guitars tail fin and messing up jams and stuff it isnt that great.

HaleStorm413 Razorback, I have a Jackson Rhodes the shape looks cool but when your hitting your bass player with your guitars tail fin and messing up jams and stuff it isnt that great. Why would i hit my bass player? i have a double neck and its half bass so i guess id hit myself XD but what blows is how i have to special order my guiatrs so trying them out would be very difficult so i tryout the right hand versions to see what neck i prefer and i play simple riffs to see which sounds better but its hard to find the guitars as well

yeah, idk it seems you are left handed yeah? well razorbacks are cool but the body is huge, and i play that esp fx, so it'll take some getting used to with fins being so long. rr guitars are pretty sick and don't think i've seen a stealth floyd.. but for versitity and you speacil order anyway, you might as well get something with coil tap, i'm going to suggest those new active emg 80s that have coil tap *nods* but its up to you

My vote would go for the Jackson. I've tried one out, I play metal as well, and it sounded great. The Razorback wouldn't be too bad, and I'm not sure about them, but I'm pretty sure they have pretty big necks like most Deans, so that might be something to look out for.

Yeah, hit the Rhoads. It's by far the best sounding, looking, and playing.

PunkRockFaces Yeah, hit the Rhoads. It's by far the best sounding, looking, and playing. Agreed, RR24's fixed my biggest issue with the Rhoads series -- 22 frets. Now if they only made them as 7 strings, i'd have 2 or 3 hah

First off I noticed you had guitars that are related to Alexi Laiho, Dimebag Darrell, and Chuck Shuldiner of Death. If you are wanting one of these guitars because you think they will make you sound better then that's not right. Each of these guitars are made of different woods, different pickups, different bridge systems, action, inotation, feel, and response is all different in each of these guitars. Sure these guitars are quite awesome but you need to have the talent to back something like these up. I dislike seeing people playing these things and not having anything musical to back these things up and I'm sure if anybody in this topic are gigging or pro/semi-pro musicians than they could agree. I recommend all these guitars to anyone because I love all these guitars and they play very well for me but there are alternatives that are just as good and not as expensive. I actually have some cheaper guitars that blow holes in walls from all the mods I've done over the years. I've bought a 200 dollar guitar several years ago and sunk 1500 bucks into it and now it's the most unique, indistinguishable, best playing, and the meanest sounding guitar in my area and sounds nothing like anything else. What I'm saying is just to choose wisely when buying something like these guitars because even if it's expensive doesn't mean that they will be what you want/need in the future. An expensive guitar doesn't mean anything if it's not the sound you want or doesn't play like you want it to.

I definitely recommend the Jackson. Amazing guitar. But without the floyd rose. It will piss you off. You'll play with it alot at first, but later on, you'll realize that you barely use it and all it's doing is making tuning your guitar differently impossible, and making string changes a b***h with all that stupid spring tension stuff. Definately don't get a floyd rose. If that guitar's gonna be a spare, that's going to be in standard tuning, never anything else, then go ahead and get a floyd rose. But if it's going to be your main guitar, don't get a floyd rose. You'll regret it.
