I'm planning and hoping on going, with Sifu Katisa, no less, and I'm still hunting for a full-time job to get my money for it. Gawd, I'm hoping to make this work, I am truly dying to go.

If my plans work, I will be there too biggrin
I already bought my pass, but now I have to worry about paying for a hotel room. I can afford the flight, but with the added room charge...*faints*
Plus, I would like to be able to afford to eat and buy...stuff...

Oh well, I'm going to save up for the 2009 SDCC, maybe get some 40th Anniversary stuff and ATLA movies info when I go xd

But yeay, Avatar Meet-up!!! OMGSQUEE! how is the outfit coming? My cosplay thingie? unfortunately very slow. It's been pushed to the back burner for the sake of finding a job, and I still gotta go to my mom for a crash course in how to sew! lol.
I also got to finish my second Jewelry piece that I'm going to use...I gotta call some guy and see about using my school's studio over the summer.
Oh! That reminds me though, I promised you guys photos of the one piece that's kind of an engagement necklace. I actually got the idea from our obsessions with Water/Fire necklaces for Zutara engagment, and I said I'd have pcitures when I got it back from my teacher! That was like, two weeks ago! lmao!

Alright, I have some pictures! ^^ It took a while because my cell phone was feeling rebellious and didn't want to send the pictures to my Email for a while, But I got them now!! twisted Here it is, my first piece of cosply, my Fire/Earth Betrothal necklace! Sorry they're blurry/grainy/otherwise crappy...Again, cell phone camera! Ok, first, just the Necklace...First to spot the Zutara parelell gets a cupcake! (there actually are probably two...) In action...A good shot of my FN hair... (I feel like a Katara rip-off! lol!) A little bit of fun with bending. :3Please forgive unsightly lightning effects and little holes in the stone of the Jewelry. I'm going to see if I can fix that before Comicon. Necklace made of Nickel, coral stone, and malachite! and an old choker I dug up. Inlay. Totally fun. Hmm...I'll be right back...[Edit] I just took this one, I thought I'd post a bonus. WIP Royal headpieceI did get my design a bit off in terms of the actual show's design, but meh. My entire outfit is based off of things from the show, but pretty much original^^ It's gonna be an inlay just like the necklace, too, same color as the fire part...And I obviously used a ton of solder, lol. And yeah, it's sitting on my sketchbook with a few Avatar doodles lurking around. ^^ Toph! yay!

Ooh! I think I see the parallel now. ^.^ Is it supposed to look like the scene from 'Imprisoned' when Zuko finds Katara's necklace? Or am I way off again?
Also, it would be awesome if you cosplayed as Fire Lady Katara. =D I hope you're able to put together an outift for it!
