Sorry if this thread would have been proffered as another, but I figure it's less likely to be looked over.
Here's my proposal. Perhaps we can pitch in all together and say get some nice items together for prizes and such. Right now... I have a bunch of stuff including maybe 13 full sets of the 2007 Halloween Gift Bags... Langer the Dragon plushies, bunch of other stuff I don't even use. I thought instead of wasting my time putting these items up in the MP for a not to great profile for me. It might be worth something to someone.
I also figure this way, you guys get more traffic. You can advertise something like weekly prizes or monthly. Maybe even ever other month or something I could throw in the month's sealed envelope or collectible. Which I don't mind doing this if that sounds like a good Idea. I consider Ren one of my good good friends so... Since I have over a 1mill avi thanks to people who can't seem to stop donating gonk ... This gives something back to the community I promised to help. I am proposing this here in G.A.M.M. before I put it through my own guilds. So if this does crash here I will probably take it up in my guild again. Which I am proud to say has had over 500k in give aways from me...
So Ren and any other mods, this is up to you.

Yes, my vice-captain who is no longer a member of gaia *tear tear* and I have come up with this idea before. But it was more on the lines that:
Who ever is more active in GAMM such as: Posting, advertising (getting word around) and inviting friends to join would win.
Now, I would love to help with the prizes too...
Of course if we did do it this way there would have to be rules:
1: When inviting a friend it only counts if that person is active and not just bumping. I think that if they did invite some may only invite random people for points. So...if I see that your guess is posting then it counts.
2: I know this may sound mean. But its just to be sure theres no cheats. I dont want noobs...only for the reason that it may be a mule.
3: Posting- you know the drill, no bumping etc...
Of course theres one flaw, only mods are posting. I dont want mods to be in this "contest thing" 'cause this SHOULD be there duty as a mod.
I don't think we sould do this until we have more members that post. I fear it has also come to where im Banning all non-active members I fell like thats the best thing to do right now...
Any mods that read this, please help me send out notice P.M's to all non-active members! I would fell much pleased. Its also getting to the point where mods arnt doing there job either. Im willing to do ANY THING to help the guid and it has gottin' to the point where we have to hold things like this just to get members. Loki, I thank you soooo much for all your help! Your truly a good friend.

Well I think of it like this you can advertise this as part of your guild... This should entice newer or green members to gaia. Just because you advertise though isn't gonna give much members an incentive to be real active. Thats where you have to step up and see what the members want out of this. Send weekly reminders (Weekly Guild Newsletters VIA PM). Host Activities, Collab with other guild with same interests, and if I can get my damn forum trolling buddies to join gaia, the guilds I'm with and own would be blossoming into something huge.
If you want you can check out some of the big time guilds and how they entice their members.
My friend's guild is doing well I think he is using the Avi art system, of course he is an Artist. He draws avi art of the week's top poster and he also does the prize thing. I mean you have to fish around and see what works best. I have told you how I am here and I will help you where and when you need it. I highly think you should take up on the newsletter thing, it may remind members that they are part of the guild.
Fish around in the Captain's guild, guild forum's (MF), buy slots in towns, advertise in a bunch of rallies. I can help there, but you are the head mod so you have to really step in and advertise in towns and what not. I'm not one of the original visionaries of the guild so I really couldn't tell people about the guild with as much heart as you can I can just throw people the idea of the guild. I'm just trying to pitch out ideas. and I'm still trying to spread myself over 3 other guilds so...

As of right now I think the whole staff will try to help with the guild but some of us might somewhat busy & who knows what happens correct? Well also I would like to remind everyone lets NOT try to break any forums rules. Chatterbox is also a good place. If you want to invite a user invite them or info any of the staff and we will do it.

I also made a fourms telling about this! so thats why its made. So ya....the give-a-way will be hosted there. Not in this fourm. This is just info about it.
Also, in the fourm i made on chatterbox I asked if anyone wants to help w/ the give a way.
Lol, we got nothin' out of chatterbox but a new fear.
