I was just reading a book (Uncle John's Curiously Compelling Bathroom Reader) and I came across an article that said that the current voice of the Geico Gecko is none other than Jake Wood, otherwise known as the lovable maniac Kill Crazy!!!
If any of you guys want to post ways that RD cast-members are working in similar ways, feel free!

Kill Crazy? No way! That is so cool. I know that Rimmer was in a short lived sitcom during season seven of Red Dwarf, but I don't remember the name of it. I saw a few episodes and didn't like it much. He just wasn't being Rimmer-like and it was weird.

If only he was acting like a normal human being, it wouldn't have been so bad. In Brittas Empire, he's an overly optmistic git with no idea his wife hates him and is constantly seeking attention elsewhere. He runs a hotel, I think. It's a while since I've seen it. Rimmer, smiling, blind to the treachery of people, loving everyone? It was just to much of a long shot.
I had trouble enough with him as the faithful butler in Laura Croft TombRaider. That was as anti-Rimmer as I can take Chris Barrie.
At least in Robot Wars, Craig Charles still had a Lister-like quality. That was easy to watch.

Yeah, Robot Wars was something mindless and entertaining, i.e. fighting, which is why Lister would probably enjoy it.
Also, I wonder if anyone on that show ever made a Skutter fighter robot. Or at least a Skutter-like one.
Edit:
Just found another one! In the movie The Fifth Element, Mac McDonald has a small cut-scene as the driver of a police squad car that's in the drive-thru of a McDonald's (which is funny in itself, because that's his name: McDonald). There he gets stuff dumped on top of him, and I was just waiting for him to yell "RIMMER!!!!" because he had that exact facial expression on.
In case you don't realize yet, Mac McDonald is the actor who played Red Dwarf's Captain Frank Hollister.

The original Kochanski, Clare, is a presenter on The One Show on BBC One every week day. Craig Charles did Robot Wars and is now in Coronation Street. Robert is a presenter on Scrap Heap Challenge. Annnnd, I remember seeing Danny on an episode of Casualty a few years ago.
