I'M OFF TO JAZZ FESTIVAL ;]
I love it there...
The feeling of playing in front of an audience when all they've heard is out of tune bands all day....
The look upon their face when we get the highest rating there...
The judges astonishment when we tell them that we're only a class D school...
OH THE JOY ;3;

That's awesome! Our band had fun at festival this year too... straight ones at districts for the first time in at least 20 years for our school! And us with the worst instrumentation and smallest size ever! People were asking our BD if he kept the band so small on purpose, only letting the best in, when in fact he had had to scrap and pull people up from lower bands to give us the barely manageable instrumentation we had! Yeah... it was amazing.

jazz festival was my favorite part of the band year next to SJMEA, everybody getting together for one grand show, I get out my cd from the festival we had 4 years ago and I never get tired of it....

if you are or were in a Jazz band in High School you know nothing matches up to it.
