I was inducted into the National Honor's Society today. Got to school around 7 today (very cold by the way) with the 'rents. Was surprised my dad even came, I have the subtle feeling he didn't really want to go. But they stayed through the whole "lighting of the candles" thing and then us little inductees took an oath vowing to continue the effort we'd put in to our academics. We each recieved a certificate, a pin, and a membership card. And then....we had breaky. I ate a muffin, a donut and some grapes. The muffin was gross.
And so I went on to my little day as a 11th grader. It went realitively smooth in the morning (due to an activities period where I had a bit of creative inspiration and wrote a little story). Then came lunch. And what do you know, all the chairs at my usual lunch table were gone. Again Dx After retrieving five chairs (for all of us) I settled down to eat my crappy lunch, which sucked today and was not as good as yesterday's (a cheeseburger with onion ring, surprising yummy) and very nearly stained my white shirt. The gelatin they served us was the only good part of the lunch period. It was lime, my favorite.
Annnnd then I got laughed and snickered at during English because I thought about a question my teacher had asked me before puting it into words. This put me in a foul mood for most of the afternoon. And there is also the last math test of this quarter tomorrow. I will try to not totally bomb it.
That was school. I'm hooooommmeee now. Lovely home. My hands are freezing, I just ripped off the nail of the finger I cut down into the nail bed awhile ago, and I discovered (by way of Tickle) that my IQ is somewhere in the range of 118 (and that I'm not as bad at math as I thought I was). I am a "Word Warrior", a title that seems incredibly corny, now that I think about it.
