I just had a major one. See, it's almost 5 in the morning on a school night... okay, morning... and I'm now talking to my friend's mom on AIM. It wouldn't be so awkward if my SN wasn't Panther Humps (inside joke) and if I wasn't best friends with her least favorite girl on the softball team.
See, I thought it was my friend that was on so I IM'ed her, asking why she was up so late. Then I found out that it's her mom. Hahaha. Can you say awk-weird? ... too much Kim Possible for me.

It's awkward when someone says that so-and-so likes you when they're in the room.

it's awkward when you tap on your friend's shoulder in the hallway at school only to remember that your friend doesn't have a nose ring and you just tapped on some random person's shoulder.

Haha, one time I thought I saw this my little sister's friend, so I snuck up on him, and scared him. And then he jumped and turned around, and I realized that it wasn't him and I just scared some random little boy.

Going to a restaurant and thinking you know someone at a table in the middle of the room, so you, brave as you are, go up there and say HI! with a big smile on your face. They turn and you are totally mortified that you have no idea who these people are and you've just interrupted their meal and are left standing at the table, in shock. They then watch you as you slip away back to your table and stare at you the rest of the time. O__O

Here are some of my most recent awkward moments:
Listening to your friend's parents talk about their sex life.
Watching a show with lesbians in it with your mom... That's always weird.
Realizing that you just said something out loud when it should have stayed in your head. I've had quite a few of those, actually. In fact, most of them have been sexual innuendos; but I think the worst one was when the assistant softball coach told us that he struck out nine times in a row during a tournament when they actually let him bat (he's normally a pitcher) and I said "No wonder they never let you bat."
Walking down the street and some guy you don't know says hi to you and when you try to respond, your voice comes out in a squeak.
And, the number one recent awkward moment goes to.... *drumroll*
The day of graduation, my best friend asked me how she looked in her cap and gown. My witty response: Hot!

Haha, what's worse is watching a show with lesbians in it with your dad in the room.

Awkward moments are fun cuz then you can laugh at all the people staring at you as if they were the ones who did it! blaugh My most recent.... Probably when these two incredibly hot teenage bible thumpers came knocking at my door trying to hand out hymnals and moral lectures and (thinking that it was just my friend that I was expecting) I answered the door in nothing but my underwear, bra, and slinky bathrobe that kept falling a little to low for comfort in front. To top it all off, I kept having to bend over to grab the dogs collar so that she wouldn't run outside. I think we all know what happens when you bend over with a loose top. The entire incident was rather tragic, but after they left I slumped down and couldn't stop laughing like a maniac. blaugh sweatdrop mrgreen pirate rofl 4laugh cheese_whine

And no. I used to watch this show called The L Word, and my dad guessed right away that L meant Lesbian. So everytime he knew I was watching it, I could tell he was thinking that I've turned Lesbian but didn't really want to say anything about it or straight up ask if I was Gay because he thought that would be kind of rude, so he was all suspicious about me hanging out with my girl friends and I dunno. It was kind of an awkward situation.

I've known her long enough that it just really doesn't matter anymore. I wouldn't do that with a straight guy friend or a gay girl friend though.

I have to be dressed even around my best friends. I just prefer not to scar them for life. It's awkward when my friend starts playing footsie with me. I don't know why.

Ah, yes, the L word. Fond memories...
I'm sitting on the sofa, watching the L word on tv. Dad walks in. "What are you watching?" "The L Word" "What's it about?" "It's like Sex and The City, but with lesbians" -awkward silence-
I think now he knows why i like Sara/Jorja from CSI so much...
