((RP for the Main three Varg, Lore and Virgil. Offspring welcome <3)) Varg paced backwards and forwards, the queen had been missing for days and he was running out of excuses for the kids. He'd tried to leave and look for her but thought otherwise of it, he'd worry but scolded himself. Lore was quite capable of holding her own but still.. what if she'd been ambushed by those whom of heard of there plan? "Nonsense!" Varg roared, she'd done this on purpose and he knew it. It was driving him crazy, thinking about this and that justifying her reasons.
"How dare she..." the mumbles began, with every day he began to hate what had happened, would she ever return? How would he cope with four children on his own? His mind was flooded with extremes in all directions, "What gives her the right..."

The day was wearing thin, the sky turning from light to dark, the sun changing from bright yellow to a red. A lioness with the coloring of a red fox sighed, her ears pulled back. "I suppose I should head back to Varg." She thought aloud, tail twitching.
It had been days since she had last seen her king, days since she had seen even their four cubs. Lorendale didn't really care though, with the birthing of their cubs she had realized how pathetic her mate was. Disgusted with it she had to get away. It was then she remembered another male they had both met previously, and if memory served, which it did, he seemed an even better choice of a mate than Varg. They both had the same ambitions, all three of them actually, but the other male seemed like he could fit the bill.
So the female had left to search for him. Her search served fruitful, and it didn't take long for her to get the message across. Lore had only been pregnant once before, but she could tell she was once again. Good, she had gotten what she wanted: pawns for her game of revenge. The lioness stood and began the walk home, flying occasionally. Virgil's scent was still all over her, she hadn't cared to try and rid of herself of it. It would certainly make for an interesting conversation, of which she hoped they could all attend.

As the day began to give way to the afternoon, the striped lion emerged from his stolen den, chest puffed pridefully in front of him. He had just awoken, but wasted no time in his preparations to leave the area. The smoothies in which the souls of his two children lay would be safe for the short time he they would be alone... There was business to attend to, arguably more important than those glasses for the time being. The time had finally come. Virgil needed to mark what was his, and make his motives known to his rival. With a few starting bounds, he headed out towards the area in which he had last spotted Varg, making little use of his primarily white wings. As always, he preferred to go on foot, the fins on his legs waving up and down with each stride.
-------

Meanwhile, Varg's young prince was sitting just a few paces away from his father, watching as the great brown king walked back and forth in frustration. It was all too clear what this was about... Nero wore his blue clothing proudly, and was admittedly starting to get upset with his mother. The cub would remain loyal and keep his tongue in check, of course, but his thoughts were his own, and he knew it. What he didn't know was if his father was aware of his presence at the current moment in time. He had been acting as if he was trying to hide something for the past few days, but now he seemed to be unleashing some sort of pent-up anger... Perhaps this was more serious than he first thought.

As he heard the foot steps approaching Varg turned swiftly "Lore...?" His eyes opened in disbelief as the fox like female appeared. "Oh Lore!" He rushed forward his maw an expression of delight and relief.Leaning to nuzzle his mate the werelion stopped short in front of her, taking in the scent that plagued her body. His expression turned cold, eyes glared as if they were burning through her skull he raised an eyebrow questionable "Where have you been!" The words were grumbled and harsh, this was one of those questions that would to have a miracle answer to turn the conversation away from an argument. Time appeared to of frozen, the waves seemed to come to a halt in respect of the two adults and to his knowledge there the two stood alone on the edge of a A-bomb explosion about to take place.
-------

Nerys stood silently behind her brother, the so called Prince that in her eyes was nothing more than a daddies boy. Adverting her eyes she inspected what had captured his attention, perhaps a butterfly or... their queen? Her maw dropped and altered to that of a evil grin. So their mother had returned, good that useless father of theirs had struggled with the four of them on his own, no female to hunt for him and training still to keep in tole. Bless him he'd tried but he was no King, the cub idolized her mother and kept back, turning back to Nero she scowled. Whispered she aimed to take him off guard, their parents would need some time and no 'Prince' should interupt the King and Queen.
"Its rude to spy."

The lioness heard the familiar voice of her 'mate', of which she wasn't sure she wanted to be anymore. Virgil seemed like much more of a lion than he, although the night was young. In fact it had just began. "Well hello again Hyde." She said, using the name she had given him when they first met as a way of trying to anger him more than he already was. Lore could tell he scented Virgil, and a wicked grin splayed her maw. "A gentleman never asks, and a lady never tells." The lioness replied, walking past him before stopping, his head at her rear and vice versa. "Oh, but I forgot. You're not a gentleman, and I'm not a lady." Oh she was just loving this, and it was easy to tell. It felt like a game to her. "If you must know, which I'm sure you do by the look of it, I was with Virgil." Lore let his name drip out like poison, she knew how much they despised each other.
--------

Silent as ever the most different of the four cubs walked up beside her sister to listen to both conversations, the one her siblings were more than likely going to have and the one her King and Queen were having. Lamia didn't speak much, everyone knew that, but she was most likely one of the best listeners the island has ever seen because of it. Even though her mother had been missing for the past few days she had kept up her training, making it the exact same as her Queen would have. Training for her was the hardest, but only because Lore hated her because she was pink.
-----------

Inside the cave one of the smoothies began to tremble and shake, toppling over and spilling it's contents. The liquid began to form into the shape of a lion cub with and orange body and gray and dark gray stripes, his wings white whit black and orange stripes like his father. Shaking his small head her heard his father leaving the cave, catching a glimpse of him. It would be out of sheer luck for the newborn to actually keep up with his parent. However a small rock stood in his way and he tripped over it, letting out a mewl of surprise as his wings spread open, catching a breeze that lifted the lightweight cub into the air and carrying him close to his father at one point and ending in a thud and a grunt. He had no idea what was going on, but when he opened his eyes and saw the adult lion he did his best to stand and walk behind him. His steps were shakey and rather humorous as he tripped over his big paws.

Virgil stopped in his tracks and spun around, swearing that he heard a squeak, or something similar, coming from downwind. He almost tred upon the newborn cub beneath his paw as he started to investigate, but luckily noticed him in time to stop. Instantly, he knew where this little one had come from. It was his son, and the son of his new mate. But no matter. The little one would not recieve a warm, excited greeting with nuzzles and hugs. Instead, the father scooped him up and started padding back to the cave, intent on leaving the heir in the safety of his cave. All the while, he pondered whether or not to wait for the mother's input on naming this one, along witht he other that was going to emerge soon, if it hadn't already. 'What a hassle.'
------
Nero's fur bristled in anger as he turned to see his sister. He refused to give her the pleasure of a jump or gasp, and only glared at her with his dark eyes. He whispered back to her, "What gives you the right to speak? You were spying on me, weren't you? And besides... I thought he knew I was here... at first." Nero turned back around, feeling a sudden urge to claw the scowl off of Nerys' face. He had missed the words that his parents had just shared, and it was obviously something important... "Hmph. You can't honestly say that you don't want to know what's going on." He paid no mind to Lamia's presence. After all, it wasn't likely that she was going to interrupt.
------
Lorna
Just as one bud blooms after another, so did the tri-colored glass shatter soon after its sibling's departure. This one revealed a chiefly white cub, who possessed black wings in stark contrast to the white ones of her brother. She was blinded at first, and mewed in confusion at the absence of companionship. Her frightened cries were greeted by nothing and no one, and only echoed against the bare walls of her parent's shelter. Even when she opened her eyes and began to take in the blurry image of her surroundings, the youngling still knew that she was alone. Instinctively, she knew that someone should be here... What was going on?

The figure turned around once it realized that there was something behind him, nearly stepping on the newborn. It didn't seem entirely pleased to see him, picking him up and taking him back to the cave he had crawled out of. Upon returning he saw something familiar through his blurry little eyes, something that even smelled familiar though they had been smoothies till now. It was his sister, she had emerged as well. He let out an exited squeal and struggled to get loose from his father to go and play, or mainly crawl all over, his sister.
--------------
Tch. Lamia thought to herself. Quit your squabbling or we're all going to miss this. Now there was only one missing cub, their brother Teishi. The pink lioness growled lightly to try and silence the two so they could hear better and still stay hidden. After all, what would their king and queen do to them if they found them eavesdropping on this serious problem? Nero might not have been able to hear what was just said, but she did and she pondered on whether or not to tell him later when it was all said and done. Lamia also had a very good memory, and it included pictures.

A cold shudder ran down his spine as his worse fears where confirmed... that name.. that male, what right did he have to see his queen? "That may be so, Lore. But what Queen abandons her pride." Keeping his composure he stood tall on the spot, not willing or wanting to look at her, anger serging through his veins, heartbeat ever increasing. Taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself he turned his head sharply the grin he was faced with... She was enjoying this and he was hating it. Why couldn't see just be a normal Queen? From the beginning he had taken note at her lack of affection... he could handle that but other males? What kind of an example was that to set their future princes and princesses, "Or had you forgotten your spawn here? You know the ones you've neglected to train these past few weeks. A royal example you've set dearest Lore." The tone in his last comment even amazed himself, before the cubs he'd of done much worse.. and not with words but the four of them needed a mother he'd have to at least attempt to question her motives and understand, was it him that caused this? Don't fool yourself Varg... There is no excuse for your queen's actions. Or was there? He was still hopeful she'd come forward with an excuse... ANY excuse to justify this...
------
Rolling her eyes she smirked sarcastically at Nero, the playful little Prince had rarely dared to answer back, especially in front of their parents. Come to think of it non of them would, If they were caught now who knows what sort of trouble would follow... Silently taking a seat next to her brother she watched, What was their father trying to achieve? Wait... her mind began to tick, what if Lore did leave them? They'd be stuck with Varg full time, oh hell no. If their mother was going anywhere she was sure as hell Nerys was going to, had the others realized this? Would they stay or go, proceeding to continue to watch she condone their silence. They would all need to do some thinking and missing even a second of this could lead to a error in judgment and one of the daddies boys following their queen.

"I haven't forgotten anyone." Lore replied, turning to look at her first mate. "If I know Lamia she's been training twice as hard as everyone else even in my absence, because despite her ugly pink exterior she knows that she can be put to good use in the future as a warrior capable slaughtering entire prides!" The femme's black wings had grown outstretched. "Or have you forgotten the reason for their being?" She asked, taking a step backward to where unbeknownst to her three of said spawn were hiding. "Admit it Varg, you've grown soft. I haven't seen any of the lion I first met since they were born, and I'm the one who keeps up their training. You even said it yourself that I have neglected to train them. Well what about you? Have you kept up their training since I left so that they will become fearsome killers capable of carrying out our revenge?"
-------------
So that's it then. Lamia thought, her expression unchanged. The reason for our being, to be raised merely as warriors to slaughter prides of their past. It didn't surprise her at all, and she was so used to being referred to as the 'ugly pink one' that it no longer bothered her. For some reason none of this bothered her. Being raised for killing and only killing...she was perfectly fine with it. To be more powerful than kings by strength alone, she could live her life as a mercinary and never need a pride or family of her own, and who could stop her? The most she'd killed so far were pray animals, but taking down other lions and even dragons...she might be the most feared creature on the isle, even their cold hearted mother said she was capable of slaughtering prides. Inside a sense of pride washed over her, though she kept it hidden beneath a veil of apathy.

"I Do My Part" Varg roared, holding back his anger, how could she feel nothing for them? Yes.. they were born to fight and live in a Pride bent on being the strongest and the best. But at the end of the day they were still their children. Flesh and blood recreations of the two of them and he had a right to show them affection! However much Nerys would scold him for it and push him away, Lamia who barely spoke but the abuse from her mother... they needed love! What had she expected, cold hearted killers. The thought of it... his offspring without moral or love alone warriors, he knew there purpose but still. "They deserve to know right from wrong, they deserve our praise when its deserved and they deserve to have even an inch of our love... well... MY love." He sighed, Had his mate really no feelings for them? Lore had so much potential to him... she was a good hunt mistress and a strong will, stunning looks and most of all determination that would beat anyone. Varg's heart sunk, with every word and thought he knew the outcome, whatever feelings he felt for the lioness seemed to disperse in the worse way, he felt the need to put her in her place, but to strike her? Surely that wasn't needed he begged within himself. "Lore. You will stop this bullsh"t, come home, never see that.. thing of a male again and perhaps I can find a way to forgive you."

Virgil lowered his head slightly and released his son, catching sight of the other cub. She seemed distressed for some reason, but he paid little heed to that. Instead, he merely backed towards the exit and ounded his paw on the ground. "You will both remain here until I return. Here." After pawing the ground again he left the cave, his pace slow in case they decided to make a run for it.
The sorrowful female cub turned at the sound of someone entering the den. This large, furry male seemed to belong here somehow, and it joyed her to see him. She began to run forwards, intent on embracing her brother and father, but skidded to a halt when Virgil's assertive voice rang through the cave. With a quivering lip she stayed in place, wondering why he seemed upset.
---
Nero sat silently and listened to the conversation between his parents, seemingly unaffected by their words. However, a tightness was clenching at his heart as the wheels turned in his mind. His claws dug into the soft earth beneath him, and he wished that it was something living and breathing that he could smother to death...

Lore scoffed at her first mate. "Right from wrong? Varg my dear, what is right to one may be wrong to another. They wronged us, and now it's their turn to be wronged. You know that, isn't that the entire reason we started this?"
-------------------------------------
Right from wrong...who cares? Lamia asked herself. I'm trained as a warrior, I shall live as a warrior. If I was trained for the sole purpose of taking life for anothers revenge, then perhaps a career as a mercenary, assassin or hit man would be best. I have no loyalties, to either of them now that I think about it. Father would 'love' me, but mother gives the most excellent training. Then again I've done a good job of training myself these past days.

Varg hung his head, he had been wronged he'd had everything taken away from him the names and the scraps he'd gotten into but then he found happiness in the strangest way with Lore and the need for revenge had been overwhelmed with what he'd come to accept as his life. His life with the four children and his Queen, had she really been wronged more than him... she was right he was growing soft. Letting forth a sigh he could not find the words to answer her not without a mock or sarcastic reply, why could she not just see? When they met it was a click between them but now everything was training and he couldn't stand the thought of that Virgil putting them threw this. Lifting his head he glared Lore in the eyes and found the reason for all this, that male, he wasn't just involved she may of found him but he was always around. He'd seduced his Queen regardless of circumstances without him around this would not of happened, his hate shifted as the grin formed at the edge of his maw. "He Wronged me, and He WILL pay. You want an example for your warriors, I'll give them one." Flicking out his wings he let out a challenging roar that rang in the skies, again and again adrenaline pumping threw his veins. Though he had not trained as thoroughly as his queen he had done his part, most days he'd play and train the boys, hunt when she'd been gone and he was feeling ready for action.

Lorendale let out a harsh laugh. He really thought Virgil had seduced her. If it angered him this much now, she couldn't wait until Virgil arrived and they fought as she hoped they would and she told him it was she who sought him out. It was almost time to make the decision: stay with Varg or go with Virgil. From the beginning Varg seemed not up to par with Virgil.

Virgil's pace quickened as the distance between him and the cave grew. Again he found himself almost sprinting, his paws kicking up dirt and grass with each bound. He could almost feel his own blood pumping as he ran on, hoping hard to happen upon that snaggle-toothed imbecile, Varg. It was high time for another face-to-face encounter with him. Suddenly, Virgil's white ears recieved a roar, whose voice was all too familiar. Apparently, the feeling was mutual. "That fool!" Virgil chuckled to himself as he unfolded his striped wings and righted himself to the source of the noise. "Does he so wish to humiliate himself? Very well!" With another mighty bound he took to the air, letting loose a deep, thundering reply to Varg's challenge. He flew swiftly, knowing full well that he would arrive soon at the scene.
