I think we should do a separate one for each of the "sub-genres".
Doom: Saint Vitus
Sludge: Grief
Stoner: Electric Wizard
Drone: Earth
Funeral: Worship

Well, seeing as my interest in doom is cursory at best, I can't really specify multiple bands by variations on the traditonal doom model. Summarily...my favorite doom band is (Ozzy-era, obviously) Black Sabbath.
