This is Mr. Cup. He stole Bruce's hair.

And this is just sad...

I apologize for freaking anyone out by that picture.

ROFL. How is his hair coming along btw? Maybe you'll actually NOT have to put it in a ponytail when you get it back on.

At least Bruce isn't crazy. ^_^

Reyire, It's getting better. I'm debating if I want to try washing it one more time. It still feels a bit stiff.

Augh. LOL. Remember when I said these dolls were creepy?

Now I pretty much am decided for sure that I will buy Sage when I get paid. And he'll get a new name, and eventually new clothes. Then I'm going to get Maguna. And get him new clothes too. xD I spent the last two (three?) hours on one of the Pullip LJ sites. The girls are so kawaii~! But I'd honestly rather have boys. ^^; Hopefully I won't get one of the icky ones. I read some horror stories on the site.

Alex, how good do you consider the quality of your Lead and Horizon to be? I was thinking about ordering from Valley of the Dolls. Mainly cause they have Sage in stock. LOL.

I think the quality is pretty good. All the male dolls legs are really stiff. Lead's wig is a bit hard to manage, but it's just the way they are made. Lead's foot is loose and will fall off sometimes, and Horizon's arm likes to fall off. And dark clothes will stain their bodies.

And you have to be careful with their feet. That's one of the things that sometimes break easily on the males.

And I love The Valley of the Dolls. They come like 3 days after they ship them if you get priority mail. And I recommend getting the doll insured.

Also, you should join the forum over at pullipstyle.com. There are a bunch of people there who know a lot (although I'm not too fond of the owner).

I'm glad. I did take your advice and join the forum, but from some of the posts I read and various LJ posts and articles, as usual it seems there are people in the fandom or w/e who like to ruin it for everyone else. Meh. Any reason in particular you don't like the owner?

Yey! Well I just have to get my tax return and then I will order my dolls. It's sad that the girl who makes those awesome Taeyang clothes is away since she's having a baby. I wanted some of those goth pants, lol. But another site said something about the "myscene" barbie boy clothes fitting Taeyang dolls. And not all the myscene clothes suck. And I also found out, it seems some of the regular dresses and skirts that fit pullips will probably fit Taeyang dolls. Yey for crossdressing!

BTW, I read your posts where you asked about getting Taeyang clothing. No one was very helpful. I think alot of people make their own clothing for their dolls and that's it. *frowns* Cause if you look over on taeyang_quarter on LJ, their contest is full of guys with great clothing. They have to be getting it somewhere!

I know. I found that site too. Those goth pants are great.

All of the Ken clothes will fit a Taeyang. I don't know how well the girls Barbie clothes will fit the guys. The female dolls are the exact same size as a regular Barbie and a Taeyang is like 13 1/2 inches tall.

This site is really helpful about what fits who:
http://www.requiemart.com/pullip/clothes.html
In fact the whole site is pretty good.

I was going to try my hand a sewing a shirt if not I'm going to ask people on Lj if someone will make me something.

And I don't like the owner because first I get a Pm saying I can't post just a link in the photo section. I mentioned that it didn't say anywhere that you couldn't post links. So I edited my post to include pictures. After that they changed the front page of the forums that says don't post just links or whatever.

Then half an hour after that the owner edited my post because I had my post with a link to my blog that mentioned how much I liked buying from The Valley of the Dolls.

Also, I saw her lock a post about people complaining about the quality of the dolls. Where she says and I quote

"I don't think a thread like this is appropriate for my store forum. If you have comments or concerns about the quality you can direct them to the email listed on JP website."

Which just makes it sounds like she doesn't want a ton of people complaining about bad craftsmanship and prices in her forum because she doesn't want to lose business.

Plus some users just seem to have the attitude that they are better than you. I think the pullips Lj community is kind of more helpful.

I meant that some of the dresses that fit the girls might fit a guy, not technically the Barbie ones. Although if you tried hard you might be able to? One time I crossdressed all my friend's little sister's Bratz dolls. It was fun. biggrin And yeah that site is awesome. Their pullip fic-pic story is hilarious.

Taeyang dolls make me want to pick back up sewing too. @___@

Meh, I noticed that on the forums. Those people seem a little random and stuck up. And half the people in the Taeyang forum sit around and b***h about they don't like so-and-so's face. Or that the boy dolls are too 'feminine' ... like no offense but if they want buff dolls they can go get Kens and GI Joes. Geeze. The reason I want Taeyang dolls is BECAUSE there's no way you can get anything like them here. (Bratz so don't count, they'll never be even remotely close to the awesome-ness of Taeyang, lol.)

It doesn't matter how many threads she locks, she can't hide the fact that honestly, the dolls are over-priced and low quality. If they weren't so damn pretty and ftw, I wouldn't buy one. But they are FTW. It's not just her store. It's any store. It's JPs fault.

The people at the Pullips LJ comm seemed great. :3

I should steal my dads GI Joe and hijack his clothes.

Speaking of... I couldn't find any freaking Ken clothes at the mall today. X_X They didn't even have Ken dolls. I went to 2 different stores. I checked online and I found like 2 decent outfits on Toys'R'Us and that's it. T____T

Try department store toy sections and Wal-Mart. They usually have alot of Bratz, Ken and myscene boy clothes. The Bratz guy shirts will fit and look great I read. biggrin
