Okay, I haven't really researched this at all, but... breastfeeding, and women getting sued for publicly breastfeeding their children... I know there was a lady with a baby on a plane, and when she began to breastfeed her baby people were disgusted/very annoyed, and I think that's absolutely ridiculous.
I mean, it's not like they're flashing for some erotic reason, or to do anything to anyone other than to feed her child. My mom is an ob/gyn with craploads of statistics that say breastmilk is far better for infants than a bottle is, so why should lives be placed in harm's way just because people don't want to see the tiny bit of skin that's showing?
Women breastfeeding in public is attacked vigorously, and yet overweight women with too many kids, screaming at them while they scream back, all in public view, is just ignored. I think that's absolutely silly.
Discuss: Women, breastfeeding, and whether or not they should be allowed to do so in public.

I don't think they should be sued. If they don't like the sight then look away, it's not that hard.
As for me I wouldn't breastfeed in public I don't want someone looking. I rather take a few hours to get it in the bottle. Same goes for my lover, I don't want people looking at her for any reason; good or bad.

Also they have researched it and all and they found the chemical or whatever that make's a woman's breast milk better for a baby and they now put that in baby formula's. In other words..baby formulas that you buy in a store is just as good for a baby as a woman's breastmilk is.

They shouldn't get sued because it is natural. On a plane well if the baby is fussing.

I don't think we should whine about something so natural as breast feeding a baby. To imagine we have problems of safety and people go fussing on about a woman feeding her baby in a natural order. Besides all of us have breastfed from our mothers and they from theirs. So I say put a boot in your mouth if you're gonna complain about a little thing that can be easily ignored.

Actually, they aren't able to replicate the chemical in breastmilk, what they do is put multiple SYNTHETIC chemicals into the formula to replicate the effects of natural breastmilk, but some people don't like pumping synthetic chemicals into their children. And the chemicals have some side effects, like only being able to be partially digested so that the rest comes out in the stool and makes it gross. My sister has a baby and she stopped using formula because of this. P.S. If you don't want to watch, don't

They should be allowed to do it; if you don't want to look, look away.
Anyway, I think that most of the outcry is about people being too embarassed to admit that actually, they want to look. A woman in the 'prime' (read: of child-rearing age) of her life, when she is at her 'most attractive' (read: fully developed but not old enough to have stopped having children) has her breasts visible in public. That's fine, in my opinion - it is her choice, and she's not waving them in anyone's face expet for tha baby which needs food to survive.
I think that people should get over it. Look away, it's not that hard.

thats not true , my daughter is fine lol and shes been bottle fed since she was three days old. (she was loosing weight on breast milk..so our doc switched her over to formula and she never went back )
anyways, i don't believe in just pulling the boys out and letting your baby just eat right there with out covering yourself in public. I've had women just sit down next to me and do that.. It just makes people uncomfortable to see a naked breast in public. No matter how many times you say" its natural get over it".
in our society its not natural to just walk around topless..
I
m fine personally with women breast feeding in public...but as a common cerdacey(sp?) I think women should put a shawl or a blanket over themselves.

They make a lot of things to help cover a woman so that she's not exposing herself and the baby is still comfortable to feed. I think it's common courtesy to use those products since going topless for women is not usual around here.

I don't think women should be sued for it, but at the same time, I'm not so sure about women breastfeeding in public. I mean even if everyone didn't look, it can still make people uncomfortable. One thing I know for sure is I wouldn't do it in public.
