Below the dragon, rising from the shadows of the night came the Lord of the Wastes. His arms were at his sides, his playful body language and mocking expressions gone. All that remained was a serious expression. Like it had been set in stones of hatred. He took one breath and bellowed up so the dragon could hear the commanding tones of Yawgmoth. "You picked the wrong night to start something you overgrown lizard. The last time we engaged you, we played with you as a cat plays with a mouse and almost burned those pretty scales off your body." he called out. His voice was full of spite and malice. There were no grins, smirks, smiles, cutesy turns of phrase. He was direct and blunt. The dragon was keeping him from something he viewed as far more important.
"You have two choices. Flee with your tail between your legs and don't come back. Or, fight us here. At night. When we're very angry. The choice is yours but if you pick the latter, here's what's going to happen. We're going to pluck every scale off of your body after we kill you and make a shiny set of armor and a nice pair of boots to go with them. You, boy, have no idea who you're ******** with. And if you stay, you're going to learn. very. Painfully." the Lord of the Wastes yelled to the clouds. The last sound was a primal yell echoing up to the air. Yawgmoth's power flared and a massive column of swirling purple fire engulfed him and spun into the sky casting off with another quick beastial growl. Narrowed crimson eyes looked up at the lizard, crackling bits of purple energy moved over his body from time to time making the air snap and pop. No more games. No more holding back for its own sake. Crow had lost her powers, Angel stole them and this dragon was in the way. Pride was the only thing that kept Yawgmoth from showing the full extent of his primordial dark power but he knew he wouldn't need it. Not tonight.
