Okay, so yeah - considering the other RPs are techincally dead, I figured it would be fun to start up a new one to (hopefully) get some members a little more active.
The roleplay will be centered around Sesshoumaru (of course) and the strifes that he has to face in everyday life - from raising a child (Rin) to refraining from killing a seemingly anamourous servant (Jaken), to facing foes who challenge his position as Lord of the Western Lands (much as his father had).
But none of which hassles pose as more of a challenge to the inu taiyoukai then the females of various races/species longing to sire his children (because we all know that Sesshoumaru will one day need an heir - and what female wouldn't want to be the first to give him one?) O.o
I'm aiming for an in character RP (at least when it comes to any canon characters), but the occassional OOC-ness can be fun from time to time.
So, with that, onwards to the rules!

RULES

Follow Gaia's ToS!
Literacy is a must! : Posts must consist of at least two coherent sentences and must be written in third person.
Example: Sesshoumaru closed his eyes and released an almost inaudible sigh. Jaken's excessive praise never ceased to gnaw at the edge of his patience.
Posts such as the following...
*slashes through a tree with a high pitched hiss*
OMG!11!11 i sees Sesshy-Kun walkin my way! :glomps and molests: M1N3!!1!1 heart heart heart
...are NOT welcomed. No exceptions!
No god modding! : There will be no God like characters in this RP. In other words, your character (whether show character or fanmade) WILL take damage in battle! Even the mighty Sesshoumaru gets hurt on occassion, so there are no exceptions to this rule.
As a further note - unless otherwise approved by the other player, noone is permitted to control the amount of damage another player's character takes in battle (i.e. - player a cannot say player b was killed in battle or how much damage they took).
Romance/Battles are encouraged! : But please, keep things PG13, 'k?
Also, fanmades can hook up with show characters; but please, do not expect it to be an instantanious thing or even possible. (i.e. - if a fanmade wants to hook up with Sesshoumaru, Sesshoumaru's player is not entitled to hook up with the fanmade if they don't wish it).
Post Daily! I ask that all players post at least once a day to keep the game moving. Further posts per day are permitted, but not over 5 posts per character.
As a side note - if any player feels they may have to leave the game or may not be able to post in a while; please contact me (Aneko-Sama) to inform me of the abscene so as to assure someone can cover for you.
In regards to fanmades: I ask that anyone submitting a fanmade character to please, please with sugar and sprinkles on top, make your characters original. Because, seriously, nothing is more boring/annoying than a fanmade character that is little more than a clone of a pre-existing character (example: Player a's character looks just like Inuyasha, but is a girl, in a blue kimono, and has a sword that is just like Tessaiga, but named differently).
Originality is much appreciated.
To add to the rules of the fan made section: whether human, youkai or hanyou - male or female - no matter what age or circumstances; no fanmade will be accepted if they a) are little more than a clone of a pre-existing character (whether in appearance or abilities) b) possess weapons that are identical to a canon character's weapon (whether in appearance or abilities) c) are somehow related to/pre-destined to marry a canon character (i.e. - arranged marriage or long lost siblings).
I apologize if that sounds incredibly strict, but having played more than a few RPs in my time, I can tell you fanmades that possess the above listed points accomplished nothing in the respective RPs other than annoying fellow players (as most turned out to be almost godlike in structure).

I'm also a ninja... and a dog demon...
I might have to change my outfit...
it might offend some other characters if I walk
around with Sesshomaru-Sama's crest
on my chest and head...
even though I really like it there...

A female priestess would be fine - justplease be certain to read the rules when it comes to fanmades. The only problem I would have with Izayoi being added into the story is that you would have to find a way to bring her back that doesn't seem too farfetched (considering that the woman has been dead for some time).

[Headdesk] Ugh! I can't believe I missed this, otherwise I would have asked to be Rin. But seeing that Sess-mom is still open, I'd like to take up her role. I think I can pull her character off pretty easily. If you think otherwise, then I guess I could play Jaken instead.
