A private roleplay between a few boys of mine, Melomar's, and Kuro's, taking place at the museum. Wow, can I state the obvious! >.>; Other stuff I may put up here, like who all is in this roleplay, but for now... could really be anyone. XD

A wide, towering building sat at the edge of the city, tall pillars holding up a canopy of a roof overhanging a rotating door. Large tapestries hung on either side of the door depicting what the main attraction to the museum was, but Renjiro paid it little heed as he entered. Whatever was here must be more interesting than the emptiness of the Complex today, and he was quite curious of all he could find there.

A current of cool air hit him as he entered, the tiled floor unable to absorb much heat. He rubbed a bare arm absently as he came further in, glancing around at all the displays featuring a myriad of ancient artifacts and remains from numerous ages. Some were labeled over doorways, leading to rooms devoted to a certain era, but there were some glass-cased displays in the front room that Ren figured he should look at first, catching his pale eyes. After all, he hadn't decided where he should go first, and this place was so big!

Looking down into the nearest display's case, his eyes ran over the broken pieces of pottery, tattered pouches, frayed baskets, dirt-caked spearheads... all with most of the color already drained out of them from their stasis in the earth. Not noticing the sign next to the arrangement, he placed his hands on the glass as he examined them, tilting his head to lean over and glance at the pieces from different angles. They were all so ancient, nearly unrecognizable patternings painted on the sides or sewn in, that he found himself squinting to try to figure out what they once were. So odd, and yet... intriguing.

He could definitely see himself spending the day here.

"So what area did you need to study?" the calico cat asked, tail swishing energetically as he stood near one of the displays looking very professional in his uniform and name tag. This section of the museum was reserved for the French Revolution exhibit.

Kaspar gazed over at one of the paintings, a well-known one depicting revolutionaries that was traveling the country with the rest of the exhibit.

Beside him, Agios leaned against a railing and yawned before blowing a bubble with his gum. He was unmistakably bored and wished he was almost anywhere else.

Since the boys were obviously paying very little attention to the adults, Morcanth shrugged and chuckled. "Well I'd let them tell you but I suppose I can try. Kaspar needs to study for an upcoming report..."

"So soon? Didn't school just start?" Bri grumbled faintly to himself; though it meant more work for him and a much more interesting day (Kas was always so much fun when he came here, so attentive - usually - and knowledgeable!), he could not help but sympathize with the boys. Teachers were always so merciless even this early in the year.

"Yeah, isn't that just the pits?"

Bri chuckled and elbowed Agios, who was still looking rather glum. "At least it's your last year."

The rabbit rolled his eyes, leaning lightly against the calico. "Yeah... I can't wait," he smiled faintly.

"Unlike Agios, I'm actually going to college," Kaspar turned back from the display and frowned lightly at his brother.

Morcanth cleared his throat and chuckled. As if there was any question as to where the angel was going to go after high school.

This was the general situation in this particular corner of the museum. Each conversation sprouting from another, never actually finishing the first. Eventually Bri would get the boys through the areas of the museum they needed to see. In the meantime, he was having a great time. He glanced around to make sure there was no one else that needed any assistance. He still had a job to do, and his family would not mind (if they even noticed) if he had to step away for a little while.

"A lovely day to be out and about, isn't it? Where would you like to go?" The little rooster asked, happily trotting in front of the silver fox. He was so interested in the buildings around him that he didn't honestly expect the fox to answer. Nor did the fox care to answer; and he knew. "Hm..." Haruto stopped in front of a large building. He stared at the banners above the entrance in awe as they flapped in the light wind, seeming to beckon the rooster toward it. "Let's go there... what is it?"

Vikenti stopped at the side of the small rooster, resting his arm on Haruto's head. "That, dear Haru... would be the museum." He spoke softly, almost mockingly, as he grinned at the rooster boy. His tail swooshing softly.

Haruto glared faintly as Vikenti set his arm upon his head. "Oh! A museum!" His glare disappeared completely with the wind. Haruto hastily took off toward the museum, in pure excitement. As he entered he skittered off to the ancient times, looking at all the broken pieces of pottery at the front.

Vikenti almost fell forward as Haruto hurried off. His arm thrown forward, but the force wasn't unmanageable. He let out a soft sigh and follow the short ball of feathers into the museum. "Hm.." He looked around at the displays at the entrance, resting his hand on his hip. Honestly the silver fox didn't find this too interesting, but he was to babysit the little squirt today. His eyebrow rose slightly as he watched Haruto excitingly looking at all the displays. "Beh..." He spat and lazily swept his hand along the rooster's back, just centimeters away from actually touching him. As he did this, soft purple mist clouded the rooster. Though the rooster himself was completely oblivious to what was happening; he didn't see the mist. As the mist subsided the rooster boy was no longer a rooster, but an overgrown yellow chicken. As soon as Vikenti saw this form he put Haruto in, he hastily covered his mouth with both his hands and shuffled away from the now giant chicken; he turned his back on Haruto and forcefully kept down a laugh.
