Ok were have like what? Almost 5000 members? Yet this is a pretty inactive guild. We get like what...3-4 posts a day? That is NOT NORMAL. I think we need more members who will remain active in the guild.

I've seen days where my tiny little Inuyasha RP guild get more posts that here. And my guild only has 60 some members and it was bought used, so the member count is off.
I think that people are really inactive because frankly, the crew doesn't do there job. About a month ago there was a ton of spam with links to password fishing sites, and the crew did nothing about it. There's a bunch or repeat threads that need to be taken care of, and of course spam.
As a captain pf my own guild and a member, my suggestions for the guild would be:
-A New crew, that does it's job.
-Update the first page.
-An Inuyasha FAQ thread, so there isn't 9000 threads asking about the ending.
-Contests
- Turn it into a private guild instead of a public guild.
-Update the rules.
-Ban character bashing threads, these hurt the guild and are just plain spam.
-create a chatterbox forum, for advertising and off topic discussion.
- Do an inactive member cleanup.
-Encourage intelligent discussion.
-Encourage spell check and grammar.
I've also noticed that threads discussing current manga chapters die out really fast, actually any semi-intelligent discussion dies out fast.

I've also noticed that threads discussing current manga chapters die out really fast, actually any semi-intelligent discussion dies out fast. i don't think this is a guild leader voting placey thing (suggestion thread). and this guild is a public guild becuase it's sort of the official Inuyasha guild. the people have free expression and the character thing brings up more disscussions, it's part of what makes this an Inuyasha guild, not a pro/anti character guild. this guild has the most people as an inuyasha guild and it also is one of the most popular, so it kinda mkes it the official Inuyasha guild and proof that inuyasha still rocks. it's hard for the crew to clean up seeing as they are all really busy people, they do thier best, but it's hard to manage so many threads and posts. i don't think everyone has the time to read every single post out there. if people told the crew that something was wrong, i'm sure they'd fix it as soon as they can. and i know not too many people are active, but at least it's not inactive, like most guilds out there. since it's not an RPG guild, naturally people don't tend to post on every single thread.

I ws merely giving suggestions to the problem, if you want more members you have attack the roost of the problem, and here the problem is an upkept guild. I really don't consider character bashing a discussion, I mean it's the same argurments over and over. They're not really discussing anything, just flaming each other beacuse they think that Kaogome or Kikyou are whores. It's all childish really. It makes it look like the members can do anything more than bash and flame each other for the stupidest reasons. when someone does come in a debate in the thread, they get upset ad start atttacking the poster. Plus I've seen tons of guild with a no bashing rule, and it really cuts down on the flame wars. Actually it really doesn't take that long to clean up a guild. It's takes only 30 seconds max to lock or delete a thread. Even if you have fifteen minutes a day you can quickly skim over and delete or lock all the spam and reapeated topics. you really don't have to read everything just skim and pick out what doesn't belong.

I think the problem is that once a guild starts to cool off activity wise it gets into a visicous cycle. People don't check as often cuz there are no new posts, and they don't post cuz they aren't checking enough.

I agree too. Yes I know I'm not one of those who get on everyday and check the guild as soon as I get on. Life can be busy sometimes and many are still active.

I agree to, partly because I have been a member on here for awhile, but I don't always post, due to mostly the fact that I work alot, my sister had a baby, and so did my best friend, not to mention that I just got engaged. So to try and juggle those things is hard enough, and I am just one member of this guild, so you have to think of how many other members have things like that going on.

i used to be really active and the guild was active too....but then it got slow and i still posted alot...but i will admit that i've not posted here much because the threads are not posted on very much...i will check back here more often, but really there's not much to do here when nothing's updated...

I agree... And I'm sorry I don't post that much... When I'm on, I usaully go to this one guild that I'm a VC in... I work alot on that guild in my computer time so when I do get time on other guilds, I take turns going between them...

I wouldn't make this a private guild, but you could be more strict with rule breakers, and just kick them out.
