Do you ever re-read books. Al my friends do. But whenever i try to re-read a book even if i LOVE it or havent read it in a while i tend to loose intrest. No matter how much i love the book i can never read it twice. Since i know whats gonna hapen i get bored and then just skip around the book to the good parts. Sometimes i'll re-read my favorite part of certian books but never the whole thing.
So what do you think about re-reading books? Is it Boring? Or Fun?

I love to reread books. Some books I do lose interest in if I read them again, and that is probably because those books' plots great excitement are in the surprise or anticipation they create in the reader. Fortunately, I have reread some really good books and gotten something new, different and exciting out of them the second time so I continue to reread.

Yeah, it's hard for me to reread books because I usually remember what I read pretty precisely sweatdrop
Fortuneitly (or unfortuneitly) my memory is pretty spotty and I'm likely to completely forget somethings entirally, in those cases I might reread a book, but it's likely in those cases that I might not so much that I have read the book before gonk

Rogue, I have a spotty enough memory that I have picked up a book after I have read it thinking, "Oh this looks interesting". I started it and realized that I said the same thing I started reading it the first time! (and I couldn't make it to the end, I just disliked it too much)

If I own a book, it is usually safe to say that I have read it at least 3 times. And I own alot of books. I love to reread my books, even the mystery ones because I usually forget what happens so it's still suspenseful for me. Sometimes, I'll borrow a book from the library, fall in love with it, buy it, and read it again all in the same week. sweatdrop Some of my favorite books are falling apart because I've read them too much.

I love rereading books. Like others have said, I ususally catch stuff I missed the first time. It's just lots of fun to re-experience your favorite books.

I like to go back and re-read choice sections---then I usually end up reading from that point all the way to end again.

I just finished re-reading Interview with the Vampire for the third time last night. I love re-reading books, at times I'll read a book I've already read as opposed to the new book I just bought. Now I'm re-reading The Vampire Lestat and reading a new book I just bought, Freaks.

Lately I've found myself on a re-reading kick. Nothing on the new book shelf looks interesting, and I want something to read during lunch and work breaks that doesn't take a lot of thought. Re-reading is good for that, since I have some idea how the plot goes, and don't have to work hard to remember it.

I can read books like The Phantom of the Opera many times and never tire, and others like Harry Potter are good re-reads, too. Others, not so much. I find shorter books to be easier in most cases.

As I Always Say...
For me its a mixed feelings for Re-reading a book. If I read a book, and a few weeks pass and I have nothing to read I'll Re-read a book that I really like. But I do have a funny story that I bought a new novel and read it in one day....All the way through....Then for some reason I had the urge to read it again! Right at that time too!?
But luckily I had another new book to read so I saved off of Re-reading that book, although I did Re-read it after all. But for me, I do like to Re-read only if there's no more new books to read at the time.

I'll re-read them if there's absolutely nothing else to read and I'm bored. Or if the book has a few really really good bits in it. Otherwise, I just can't be bothered.

((Beware, I live...))
I have this horrible habit of skipping whole paragraphs when I get bored. I end up re reading a book six times before I get everything I miss. Looking at you, Narnia. Like reading the darn Bible.
