What's your favorite genre to read?
Overall my favorite is Fantasy but I've been reading a lot of books outside that genre. A lot of Nietzsche, Sun Tzu, Machiavelli, James Redfield...

Mostly, I read fantasy, romance, action and mystery. Fiction, of course. I don't read a lot of non-fiction books, except for self-help books.

I really like just about everything. Though I will admit that I don't like historical anything or sci-fi that's too much like Star Trek.

I mostly read Fantasy in all its various subgenres but sometimes I read Crime, Thrillers and I'll pretty much pick up anything if it's recommended to me. Even non-fiction.

Yeah, I mainly read fantasy (Mercedes Lackey, Anne Bishop, Tamora Pierce sometimes), but I'm reading more classics now (Shakespeare, Orwell, Dante, etc).
Sci-fi is pretty great too (Orson Scott Card <3)

Let's see... my FAV genre would be fiction.
I love others, but I can get really tired of sci-fi and romance and mystery. There are only so many 'distant worlds where everything is completely different with complicated names,' 'too wonderful to realize the hottie is in love with her, and of course it's not about beauty, he just happens to be a hottie,' and 'he's absolutely brilliant and wonderful and look at how quickly he finds out all these clues and how they're all wrapped up together.'
Each of these genres has a set of rules and a stereotype. But fiction pretty much allows for chaos and a lack of rules, which makes it the most interesting to me. heart

I read every genre, I think. Yes, I even read biographies and such, though I do heavily favor reading fiction. I try to stay away from pure romance, but I'd read other genres with some romance in it.
