"Too famous? Well isn't that dissapointing, it was fun while it lasted at least Drago." Akai replies as he casually rolls his shoulders in a shrug. "Commitments? Not that I know of, there is nothing really going on right now, which may be why I had the time to seek you out and have this little meeting." Akai says as he slowly nods his head and then takes a step forwards his body vanishing in the moment in a slight swirl of grass dirt and small shards of ice. Appearing before Drago with the use of a body flicker Akai grins lightly. His right hand raising and extending outwards as he subconsciously pushes back the aura of arctic night cold that seemed to always be around him in a hazardous range, now just being a chill for the point of showing a form of intent of no violence while at the same time, extending his hand forwards for a good old fashioned hand shake. "Glad you're back, Drago. If you need a hand at any point with this little new group of your's give me a call. But for now, I'll let you return to your training." Akai says with yet another nod of his head, his long white hair passing partially into his face, before he flicked his head slightly and cast it out of his eyes once again.

The sun was shining high, it was late in the day, and yet Bob Marley still slept. It was weird for someone of his kind to be like that, but he was more of a night owl than an early bird. When he finally woke up, he toked up. He opened a drawer near his bed and took out a jar. It was filled of nuggets of good weed. He could attest to that himself since he grew it himself. It and pounds and pounds of weed. He had a green thumb for the stuff and was growing it faster than he could smoke it. With a tolerance that he has, that was saying something. He took out a rather large piece and put it into his pipe. He then lit with his lighter and took a deep puff. Immediately it relaxed him. Unfortunately, it made him not want to get out of the bed and he really needed to start his day.

Ensei [Persian], Ryuu
“I swear I didn’t,” Ryuu quickly replies. He then plops down to the ground, deep in thought. “If Makka was able to get out of the house and Tama didn’t stop her then I doubt she’s even here anymore. I can only guess that she’s run off to another village.” Ryuu groans before reaching a hand up and tugging back his bangs. The roots could easily be seen as silver while the rest dark brown. He releases his bangs and gets to his feet. His hair falls back again as he looks through the hair in his face at Night. “I don’t want you to feel like you have to look for Makka but I’d really like it if you came with me to check for sightings of her."

"I can almost guarantee she’s left this village so I say we check the docks. If they haven’t spotted her there then she should be in the village still and we can search the village for her.” Ryuu smiles and places a hand on Night’s shoulder before speaking again, “So will you come with me, Night?” He smiles despite his serious expression a moment before. He was worried Makka had left the village and about Night’s expression before but seems to have put it out of his mind now.

Night smiled slightly at Ryuu and then sighed slightly. She rooled her eyes when ryuu asked if she would go with him. She thought that it'd be obvios that she cares about Makka too and would definately want to go. "Of course I'm gonna go! I'd go even if you told me to not go." Night said grining brightly, ear-to-ear. She looked over at Tama and then back at Ryuu. "Shouldn't we ask him if it's ok? So he doesn't think we all ditched him." Night suggested calmly.

The shadowed figure crept through the tall grasses. They were thick, the individual blades stiff enough to make it akin to walking through a shrub or scrub brush. But they didn't stop the figure from getting ever closer to their destination. They moved almost unseen, save the telltale ripple at the upper level of grasses, easily mistaken for an errant gust of wind. No other sign of their passing was evident, without knowing they were there, it would be almost impossible to find them. And that was precisely how they wanted it. They were on the hunt for prey, and unlike the animal they shared so much stylistic similarity too, this one hunted alone.

It was peaceful, the sun shining warmly on him while a gentle breeze played its music in the tall grass. The Gekkou boy laid there with his eye closed as he peacefully plays a grass flute. Even though he was in enemy territory, Herru seemed at peace and centered if not enjoying himself. Though threat of attack was always very real so the swordsman kept an ear out for anything abnormal in the air, grass, or even the earth.

Kyouken paused in her prowl as she heard the strident tone of a grass whistle. A little further to the left than she had thought. Altering her path, she slunk lower to the ground, nearly bent double as she crept ever closer. She was only a short distance away now... As the grass grew thinner she slowed. She would move when the wind would rustle the grass, letting it's movement help hide her own. When the grass was still, so was she. Slow process, to be sure, but a much better chance of avoiding being spotted. As well, her tattoos, normally so vibrant and eye-catching, did an admirable job of blending in with the patterns of grass shadows and sunlight. Much like a zebra's stripes. Finally, she was within range. She crouched, the muscles tensing in her legs as she calculated her path. She would leap directly toward Herru, arms leading the way in a simple pounce that would aim for the boy's shoulders, to keep him in place as her technique did it's work.

Two figures strode into the thick grass outside of the Hidden Grass village. One was relatively normal looking, though their eyes had an odd, glazed, almost dead look to them. This was Sliver. Not a true human at all, but a being sent to this realm to learn more of how these humans and ninja fought, to better prepare the way for invasion. The other was much more colorful, with vibrant blue hair topped with the requisite ahoge, and a school uniform. Not that any ninja academies ever used uniforms, so this had to be from something, somewhere else. Her name was Konata, though she answered to quite a few other monikers as well. They had come to this land for different reasons, yet fate had decided they would travel together. The blue-haired lass would continue to make incredibly obscure comments on certain aspects of popular culture, while the walking dead would invariably respond at a bare minimum, if at all.

Konata looked around, mumbling to herself how this looked like the plains of Mulgore, wherever that was. Then she started ranting about why the Plainstriders didn't drop their feathers often enough, and turned to Sliver, as if expecting her to know what she was talking about. The other girl's reply was a mute "..." but that seemed enough. They continued on their way, trudging through the thick grass, almost totally hidden from view, save Konata's ahoge and Sliver's scythe.

At the last second before impact, something seemed wrong. Kyouken aborted her pounce by the simple expedient of grabbing hold of a nearby thatch of grass, jerking her arm at just the right angle to pull her back. She had heard voices, sounds besides what the youth was producing with his grass whistle. Her technique was dangerous in that while using it, she had to by necessity leave herself open. That meant it was normally foolish to use when there was anybody around beyond her and her target. There were exceptions, of course, but those were few and far between.

Slinking through the grass once more, she slowly homed in on the source of that voice. they didn't seem to be expecting combat, perhaps she could use that to her advantage? She got ever closer, and finally was able to see her new potential prey. She silently cursed as she discovered there were two of them. That made things much more difficult. But not impossible. She continued following the two, aiming for the one with the visible weapon. Not because they seemed more dangerous, but because they were the quieter of the two. If she did this right, the other might not even notice what she planned to do, until it was too late! She continued sneaking up on Sliver, before she would lash out and try to wrap her arms around the odd girl from behind. One hand would seek to cover her mouth, while the other would attempt to hold her arms to her sides.

Sliver hadn't been expecting an ambush. All the more ironic since they were in the bush, so to speak. Regardless, she found herself caught, arms wrapping around her and silencing her. She tried to swing her scythe at her mystery attacker, but her arms were trapped at her sides. There seemed to be nothing she could do. She seemed to calm down, as she attempted biding her time. They would let their guard down sooner or later, and that was when she would strike.

All the while during this attack, Konata appeared oblivious. Those who knew her wouldn't be surprised by that deduction in the slightest. Instead, she just continued walking, and continued ranting on how Final Fantasy X-2 wasn't a proper FF game, whatever that meant. Apparently since it was a sequel, it was ineligible for that status. She even asked Sliver her opinion on the matter. Obviously there was no response. But that was normal, so she acted like she did all the other times Sliver had answered by remaining silent. Which was to assume she heard the answer she wanted to hear.

Kyouken grinned, a savage smile spread across her face. She had managed to catch her target, and the other didn't even seem to have noticed! And what was more, she was in a prime position to activate her technique! While tradition would almost demand she shout out the activation of her technique, instead she just whispered it. It would still be perfectly audible to Sliver, but likely not at all to Konata. "Maniwa Ninpou: Kyouken Hatsudou!" A pulse of chakra would rush away from her in all directions, rustling the grasses as her eyes and tattoos began to glow an electric purple. She kept a firm grip on Sliver, she refused to let her prey get away now that she had actually captured them. It would be over shortly, just a little longer and it would be complete.

Sliver felt the surge of chakra all around her. This didn't seem to be an actual attack, per se, but it was almost a certainty that it would not be beneficial to her. So she began struggling once more. Biding her time was all well and good, but if her assailant was already beginning their attack, any hope of time to gather her reserves was thrown out the proverbial window. So she struggled to break free, but from her unseen attacker's leverage, she couldn't even push off of the ground with her feet. She was still trapped, trapped for whatever the purpose of this odd chakra was.

Konata had continued her monologue, comparing the merits of a paladin versus a warrior. Tossing about obscure terms like "Titan's Grip" or "Battle Shout" she had seemed to have made a decision. Turning to ask Sliver her opinion, she faltered when she saw she was alone. "Oro?" With the grass as thick as it was, she couldn't see more than a few feet in any direction, and she couldn't see Sliver at all. Had she gone off to the side, going her own way? Or had the xenomorphs gotten her? "In space, no one can hear you scream..."

Kyouken tightened her grasp around her prey, locking her arms in place, her elbows clenched tightly against Sliver's forearms, her hands clasped tightly over her abdomen. The light emanating from her tattoos seemed to glow a tad brighter, now a baleful violet, as they seemed to writhe and shift, like heat haze over an empty plain. It was no optical illusion, however, as her tattoos were actually shifting, shifting to the extent that they were leaving her body and creeping onto Sliver's. The process had begun, it wouldn't take much longer before it was complete. Already, she could feel the changes occurring, the changes that came with the startling shift in focus that would soon transpire. And still the tall grass rustled around them, blown around not by the wind, but by her chakra. The pure effulgence of her dispersed chakra tinted the grass a grim color reminiscent of a shadow at midnight, or oil on black canvas.

The odd chakra was infusing her, she could feel it's alien presence infiltrate her. There was some irony in the fact that she, the forerunner of an invasion force, was now being invaded herself. She continued to attempt to break free, even just an arm. If she could dot hat much, then she would have a chance. She could then use her scythe to try to attack her attacker, make them stop whatever it was they were doing, or preferably let her loose. But so far, attempts had proven fruitless, she was trapped as surely as a fly in a spiderweb. She wasn't too concerned with dying, dying from a new form of attack could be very valuable information. But even so, that didn't mean she would just accept it, roll over and die on command!

Konata had finally realized that something was wrong. She still had the same oblivious, almost vapid look to her face, but she was definitely serious now. As an Uchiha, she may not have the same visual perfection that the Hyuuga line possessed, but her Sharingan still gave her an edge. She activated it now, to try to see where her quiet friend had gotten to. There! She saw there were two people, her friend, and some lady she didn't recognize, holding her tightly from behind. She blushed a little, before chuckling. "Heheh, yuri flag scene, get." Maybe she should give them a little privacy?

Kyouken could feel that the process was virtually complete. Her tattoos had by now almost totally arranged themselves upon Sliver's form. The amaranthine glow of her chakra had almost faded, as well. The world had seemingly gone silent all around her, the wind itself stilled by what had just transpired. The world held it's breath, as it awaited the outcome of this new and dangerous technique she had perfected.

And then it was done. With the last of the strength and will left in her natural body, Kyouken released her victim. And just in time, for a moment later, she collapsed nervelessly to the ground. Nerveless, and missing just about everything else, as well. For no sooner had her body hit the ground then all of it's color faded away, leaving it the same hue as sand or ash. And staying true to it's new tone, it soon collapsed on itself, disappeared in a cloud of dust. Kyouken had extinguished her life, and even destroyed her body, for what? Sliver still stood, unharmed. What had been the point of that strange technique?

Sliver stood still for a moment, locked in place as memories and recollections tore through her mind. She acted as if she had never known about any of them before, but how could that be? Unless, unless Kyouken's technique had indeed changed something. But what? Sliver's body still bore those tattoos, those violaceous tattoos, and her grin resembled nothing so much as the cat that ate the canary. Or perhaps the wolf. Indeed, this was not Sliver any longer, but Kyouken! Her technique had allowed her own mind and will to override Sliver's, and take her body for her own. In this way, she could live forever, she could always grow in strength, she could avoid recognition.

Her grin deepened as a memory floated to the surface. Sliver had been accompanying another. They would notice her absence, if they hadn't already. She calmed herself down, letting her face gain the same stark impassivity that the true Sliver had held upon her face before, and went forward through the tall grass. She had gained a body, and nobody was any the wiser. But just in case, she should probably go after that friend, too. What could be easier, she wouldn't expect her new friend to betray her without warning, would she? as she walked, a few of her beetles flew into the air, to scout ahead and tell her which way her friend, her prey, had gone to. The true hunt began now.
