Whoo, that's a long-a** list with no locations close enough for me. Oh, well.

Anyway, when I found the Wikipedia article explaining RvW, I also found out that Wikipedia has an excellent page on Pro-Choice. It explains bodily integrity (I think it could have done better, though) and why we don't consider ourselves "pro-abortion."

Ooh! There is something down in Portland! I think I will go to it, or the commemoration at the PPH of the Columbia Willamette (it's in gresham, and much closer than portland).

Bah, my stupid confirmation-prep class (which I hate, btw) ruined the anniversary for me.

The speaker talked about how the fetuses are "defenseless but still valuble lives" and that the millions of aborted "children" could be paying for his retirement in a few years.
And he compared fetuses to Jesus, saying that when he arrived he wasn't recognized or whatever. And the whole class (bunch of brainwashed freshman and middle schoolers) was agreeing with him and mourning all the "poor babies". [/endrant]

I would have spoken up, but I was afraid they still had paddles laying around from the old days. eek

Ah, confirmation. Good times, good times. rolleyes I went in kicking and screaming, and left the same way.

I have my pin ready for the day: "Parent by choice, not chance." (Even though I'm not a parent...I like to think they're using "parent" as a verb in that case, which would make more sense.) Wish I could make it to some kind of shindig for the event, but I need to be in bed early for work. I feel like an old lady. crying

Seriously?!

How selfless, how concerned for the poor little fetuses he is! rolleyes

So... Son of God who performed miracles, changed the world, suffered and died so that you could go to heaven... is the same as a non-sentient fetus. ...Right.

I bet they didn't know who Mrs. Hitler's fetus was going to become, either...
