hello there.
i just got invited to join and would like to send my first poll
to everyone.

i graphic design as a hobby, and would like to know
other peoples interests in this catagory.
personally, i prefer Vector over anything because it
looks more clean and efficient then any other art form.
plus, it's alot more fun to make. :]

what's your decision?

EDIT: for you that don't know what vector is..
it's made of points, lines, and curves formed into any given shape.
for example-

I like vector, too, but also photomanipulation. Of course, that's pretty much because I'm good at those. I like hand-drawn illustration, too, but I'm a lousy artist on paper. sweatdrop

pixel art is pretty good.
i like it as well since there's regular 2-D and isometric.
i've done plenty of 2-D pixel people, most of them
can be found on random chat programs without my consent
but it's only pixels. once i get my name copyrighted,
i'll be known as " crotchfist! " permanently.

I'd choose vector. Though I like pixel, 3D and photomanipulation as well

I like pretty much all of it as far as viewing. As far as doing I can barely stand pixel of vector. I just don't have the patience. I'd rather just get a pen in my hand and start scribbling, trying toplot everything out gets to me pretty quick. So I've got major respect to those who can doit and do it well. xd

Only vector image I ever finished is my black chicken:

and then we had to turn them colored and I ended up turning it into a big mess. sweatdrop With any luck I'll pick up vector again later and give it another go. Photoshop sat on my PC for a year or morebefore I finally forced myself to learn it and now it's one of my most used tools.

Abstract art is defined as art that has no reference to any figurative reality. In its wider definition the term describes art that depicts real forms in a simplified or rather reduced way - keeping only an allusion of the original natural subject.

Pixel art is a form of digital art, created through the use of raster graphics software, where images are edited on the pixel level. Graphics in most old (or relatively limited) computer and video games, graphing calculator games, and many mobile phone games are mostly pixel art.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. <-- 3D (comp)

The creation, display and manipulation of objects in the computer in three dimensions. 3D CAD and 3D graphics programs allow objects to be created on an X-Y-Z scale (width, height, depth). As 3D entities, they can be rotated and viewed from all angles as well as be scaled larger or smaller. They also allow lighting to be applied automatically in the rendering stage.

Vector graphics is the creation of digital images through a sequence of commands or mathematical statements that place lines and shapes in a given two-dimensional or three-dimensional space.

<--typography

The design and use of typefaces as a means of visual communication from calligraphy to the ever-developing use of digital type is the broad use of the term typography.

<--photomanipulation

The art of combining, cropping, correcting, restoring, and blending photographs with a computer program such as photoshop.
