Anyone got any New Year Resolutions?
Mine are simple: Graduate school. Get a steady job at a hospital I enjoy. Start saving for a car that is more dependable than my little bucket.

I don“t like setting Resolutions... that word has such a negative connotation now... and no one seems to be able to keep them... so I just set loose goals. For this year, I just want to further my fitness and health and ... well ... not flunk out of college.

I think the weight loss industry has tried to take over new year resolutions. I've never done one of those "I'm going to loose 30 pounds by summer" type 'resolutions'. Or "get a boyfriend/girlfriend this year", thats just stupid. What ever happened to simple things? I think mine is pretty simple. I didn't say 'get a brand new car' or even just get a better car, I just want to start saving for it. 30$, 100$, 1000$...Doesn't matter as long as I at least start the process of saving for it at some point. Eh, I'll shut up now. I'm just rambling from lack of sleep.

Trying to set a resolution, in most cases, seems just like setting yourself up for a fall. Reasonable goals are quite another thing.
And to hell with weight loss programs! I'm living proof that simply eating right and staying active is enough. 3nodding

Lady Sickness Trying to set a resolution, in most cases, seems just like setting yourself up for a fall. Reasonable goals are quite another thing. And to hell with weight loss programs! I'm living proof that simply eating right and staying active is enough. 3nodding I'm proof sitting on your a** works too... Don't know how exactly it works but I was getting too skinny for a while there. I've been stuffing my face to keep some weight on. I just don't look good when I start to go below size 5. I've been trying to stay in between 5 and 7 because I started looking sucked up like a drugie when I lost a lot of my face fat. I'm happier now. All I need to do now is find a healthy way to stay at the weight I like other than eating junk and then start getting into shape. It's funny. I couldn't believe it when I looked in the mirror one day and thought ew I'm getting to skinny! Most of the time it's the other way around.
