oh yes, i have heard that Australia is crammed with many quartzite varieties, such as topaz and emerald and amethyst!
i have a gemstone collection from Canada, which includes a lot of sodalite, a semiprecious stone not often seen, very pretty, white mottled with a deep lapis color.
