The Great Jiraiya has fallen in battle. Jiraiya died in the hands of Pein, the leader of the rogue ninja group known as Akatsuki. Died while trying to gain information and finish of the leader at the same time. Jiraiya engage a battle with Konan - Pein's akatsuki partner. Then she was reliever from battle by Pein. Pein was so overwhelming that Jiraiya was forced to use his most powerful transformation, the Hermit mode and that still was not enough to finish off Pein. Please pay your respects to the GREAT JIRAIYA.

Some of us just don't feel like going that deep into the manga because we have these things called "lives." You know, where you go to school, talk with friends, go home, play an instrument, go to work, take your grlfriend out to eat, go bowling, and all that jazz. For future referenses, please label threads like this as "Spoiler."

Its gallant jiraiya lol sorry *prays* and aso his hermit mode wasnt too powerful all that happened was longer marks from the tattoos and such not too great but anyways its sad and Tsunade will exact revenge on Pein if Shonen releases anymore which is just a rumor
