OpenLike any New Year, there is a celebration; though, this one is quite different. As the count down begins, an arora borealis appears by a New Star. Whatever world someone is from, they will see that star and the arora borealis creating a door. A door to a world that connects all the worlds. For when it hits 12 midnight, the door opens as a rabbit hole. If a person decides to jump through it he/she will be sent to a room to pick an outfit for the New Year's Ball. At that time time freezes and once 12 hours are up, then the person is sent back to teir world, laying where the hole use to be, thinking it was just a dream.

"The time is close, Alex." Valer said and he looked out the window into the beyond.
"I shall wait at the door then, sir." Alex replied as he headed towards the door of the room to exit.
"Alex." said Valer without turning around.
Alex stop and turned. "Yes, sir?"
"Keep an eye out for 'her'" Valer said with a grin.
With that note, Alex was gone from the room. He headed down the stairs and awaited arrivals.

Xaldian looked down at the piece of paper and read it with his right eyebrow arched, above his greenish-blue eye. "That is fairly odd." he said as he glanced around his surroundings."Hmm.. Well, I guess I will check this out since no one would miss me anyway." he said as he looked up to the sky and saw a very bright star. He saw a thin line of red and decided that this letter was in fact real. He started to run towards the star.

She was sitting in her favorite place by the stream outside the bustling of the town. She loved to sit here by herself and get things in order. As of now, she lived a normal life. She disliked this, she wanted adventure and excitment. Right as she was thinking this, a well made letter fell in her lap. She looked around, tring to find where it came from. First she assumed it wasn't hers but it was addressed to her. She opened it up carfully, trying not ot damage the fine artistwork done here. She read the note quickly not beleaving her eyes. "A ball, through a hole, at midnight. How origonal. I must say, the 'through a hole part has my attention" She stood up heading toward this star mainly because she had nothing better to do and she was a curious person.

Hikari stared at the paper, still wondering if she should go. Why not? It's not like I have anything else planned. She stood, blancing herself. Closing her eyes, she could hear the calling of birds and the soft swaying of the trees. "Hmm, I hope that masquerade's fun."

Naza ran a hand through the shock of white hair the topped her head. She was laying in the grass, happily snoozinh on the still warm beach when this letter came out of nowhere and slapped her face. She now sat with it open, absently tracing the delicate design along the letters face, and lookin up at the night and the brightly glowing star. "At least something exciting will happen this year." She grinned at the prospect and she looked down at the paper in her hands again. "Where do we get these masks...and what happens if we take them off?" A sly smirk crossed her face for a moment before she leaped up in the sand and towards the star that hovered over the ocean.

Xaldian saw the arora borealis and stood on the grassy hill. The star started to shine brightly and it made a hole in the grass. "They were not kiding." he said to himself as he looked down in the hole. He could see nothing but decided to jump down anyways. He landed on a marbled floor, it seemed to be a room that was inclosed. He saw a table with a costume and a white mask. Shrugging, he decided to place it on. It was an exact fit, all of it was. From the white gloves all the way down to the shoes. He kept his two swords with him, he never left them behind. A door formed from the bricks and he headed through into the new world.
