Except when my reeds break right before I have a solo, and so I have to use a completely new and ugly-sounding reed...

I am an oboe player. How long have i been playing it? Ummm... let's see... started in 7th, now in 11th... about 4 years! I am not the best, I am a second oboe, but that's not saying much, considering that there are only four oboes, total! That and I am in advanced concert band in Brockton High, so I must be pretty good! Am I? Anyone?! crying

I am not the best, I am a second oboe, but that's not saying much, considering that there are only four oboes, total! Wear the fact that you're second chair with pride, no one needs to know that it's out of four. I'm first bassonist in my band.... Out of 1.

and uh. on saturday, I'm auditioning for state. I'm soo not gonna make it. =l

Yea, im a bassoon player. and im one of the last dying breeds in my band sweatdrop theres soooo few double reeds in band now, its making me worried lol. but im in 1st chair cuz im the only one who has played it for hmmmm 7th grade to 11th now. and we just recently had to make a tenor saxaphone into a bassoon player and she has been playing for 1 year now.

I'm an oboe player and have been playing for 2 years. I'm the only one in my band, and our band has 70 kids. Although, I did get into my districts honorband which is the best musicians in the district. I'm so excited! biggrin

I'm one of the 4 bassoon players in my whole school and I LOVE IT! I play first chair... despite the fact the other bassoonist has been playing for 10 months more o.O
