I don't know if anyone has entertained this idea before (that is, it may be up in another thread somewhere...), but has anybody ever wondered what is in Ed's suitcase that he carries around?
I don't think the series ever says and all I can do is speculate.
I'm pretty sure he keeps extra coats and gloves in there, since he seems to go through them pretty quickly... sweatdrop
OH! And armor polish for Al. 3nodding

there are probably just clothes or some amazing philosopher stone tracking system and he uses it to find leads on the stone lol it would be really creep if he opened the case and a giant computer just popped out hahahahahha

Soma4sama there are probably just clothes or some amazing philosopher stone tracking system and he uses it to find leads on the stone lol it would be really creep if he opened the case and a giant computer just popped out hahahahahha LOL. Yeah, I think I would laugh at that. But then I would be weirded out cause of the lack of computers in the FMA world... razz

And Ed never seems to be in dirt clothes for a long time. ahh you have something there about the dirty clothes. but if i remember right he actually cleaned himself once using alchemy. I think it was early in the series when they where in that water city with psiren if i'm not correct? a carrage went by and splashed him, he freaked out and then used alchemy to clean himself off then he got cuffed because the detective (who reminds me of inspecter gadget) thought he was the theif because she was using alchemy too. what could be in there indeed. i've seen a lot of things where he stands on it and sits on it and stuff, maybe it's packed. i bet there's still clothes in there and some stuff for al's armor. but nobody thought abut his own automail! he doesn't want it getting rusty either or jammed up or anything, right!? plus in episode 13 you can see him polishing it while mustang's crew is talking about who would win. and maybe it isn't even clothes. maybe it's just the material do he can fix his clothes, of course there might be a few extra pairs and such. and never forget that he has long hair so there must be something for his hair in there like a brush or something.
