Hello,

I am a new member. I have six common goldfish of various colors and a pleco in a 10 gallon tank (I'll put some pictures as soon as I can), a house cat and a two dogs.

Thank you for allowing me into the club.

Welcome!
Hah, just earlier this week I was looking at that guild, such a lovely banner.
I aint married though.

But that really is a lot of fish for a 10 g, especially since all of them are the kind to grow big.
I have a 20 g with 3 comets and I still can't wait to get a chance to move them to something bigger.
But still, 'd love to see them smile

2 gallons per inch of goldfish is the rule I grew up with.

2 gallons per inch of goldfish is the rule I grew up with.

they came 6 for $1 and in the tank at the shop I wondered how they swam without hitting each other. then again, they must have monster filtration systems.

Hello! Welcome to the guild (:

I'd like to point out that common goldfish grow really quickly and they'll be way too big for 10 gallons before long. Unless most of them die first, that is. xD;

They'll be gaining inches in no time, so if you want them to survive you should probably plan on finding extra accommodations for them.

So, how long have you been interested in fish? Is this your first experience with fishkeeping? smile

If it is, I'd like to recommend a great website with tips for caring for you goldfish. It's called Koko`s Goldfish World.

It's one of the first sites I relied on when I first started out with goldfish keeping a couple of years ago. It's super handy to keep on bookmarks/favorites.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to any pictures of your tank you might post in the future! (:
