I'm in a conundrum(sp).

I desperately want a new system, problem is, my budget limits me to one or the other. I now have a PS2, and a PS3 just doesn't seem worth it to me.

Many of the titles I like, like Resident Evil and Final Fantasy, are going to continue on the 360, but the Wii sounds like so much fun.

My parents (who are video game illeterate[almost as illeterate as my spelling] sweatdrop ) have enjoyed EyeToy and DDR on the PS2 because they are so accessable, as I'm supposing the Wii could be, plus most of the newer Sonic the Hedgehog games (of which I am quite a fan) are coming out on it.

On the other hand, my brother and I both like a certain amount of realism in our games, and like I said, most of our favorite titles are continuing on the 360.

My question is this: Given my situation, which should I get?
-Pros and Cons
-Best Games
-Which one's worth it?

Thanks for nice advice.

I suggust both. But the WII is much more fun. If you have to wait to get both I suggust the WII first.

hey it's like comparing apples and oranges really. i mean you want some horror genre serious games then you have the 360 but you want colorful like super mario stuff then the wii. it all depends on your like preference and the only reason anyone would get a PS3 is for DMC4 GO DEVIL DANTE!!!!

the wii is good for family stuff. fun games with little plot, because if you get the games with plot, they just don't preform well. with the exception of mario galaxy.. but i haven't played that myself so i'm not sure

i hate to say this, as i am an open hater of everything Micro$oft (i'm an apple girl), but the 360 is better for actual games. some of the best games that are coming out now are preforming best on the 360. the 360 is also using games that the wii uses to make it more family oriented, like raymen raving rabbits, and having games like viva pinata.

i've played both systems, and they are both good systems. in the end, it all depends on what you are looking for in the system.

I'm here to defend the Wii, even tho' I have a 360 too. A new game for the Wii comes out in February called "No More Heroes" , it's made by the same guys who brought us "Killer 7" for the GameCube. It has exagerated blood & gore, & come on, you have use the bathroom to save the game!! eek Not to mention SSBB fans, better Pre-Order now, cuz you only have 2 months left. wink

I'd say the Wii only because it is closer to my genre in games...RPGs and whatnot. Also Nintendo has been a welcome constant for me.

The 360 has several games I'm interested in, but not enough for me to buy it. I'd love to play Halo 3, but not by myself as my sister isn't always home. If my boyfriend has a 360 then I'll play and/or watch though--it's plus for me.

The Wii is just fun in itself, really. I was having a ball just making a Mii for goodness sake. whee It's really because you aren't sitting still and playing--unless you're the type that moves about with a controller--you gesture and move with the game. Like for Zelda: Twilight Princess--something jumps out at me and when I jerk or flail around in shock I end up hitting the enemy.

Plus I believe it stimulates us very well to interact with the game, though I don't really care. It's fun; that's all that matters, no?

I love my Wii I have had it for a year now but honestly I have only played a handful of games on it that i enjoy.

The 360 I love as well even more so now because of Mass Effect. It really depends on your preference its a tuff decision.

360,no question.

The wii has become more of a novelty item. Everyone is so eager to get their hands on one and then they blow through the only spectacular games for it. (i.e. galaxy, zelda) then the whole remote thing just gets old. It's really not that exciting anymore and it hurts your wrist. D= There's just not a whole lot of titles to sell the wii.

The 360 however had most of the best titles of 2007 (though about half were also avaliable for the ps3 as well =P). And those of us who bought the 360 just for halo, find ourselves in the same situation of those who bought the wii just to use the remote a few times. Yah get borrreedd. But if you bought the the 360 for just about every other amazing game avaliable, then it really never gets old.

(btw ~ I own both systems. =P)
