I apologize for my absence from the club (and the internet in general) but I've been a very busy platypus-lobster hybrid. So busy was I; I barely had time to get a decent night's sleep in many a week. I'm still catching up on that, now.
What was I doing, you may ask? Band. Lots and lots of band. And many, many school projects. But, now that marching band is over, I plan to have a bit of a life, and maybe some free-time again.
Despite the living nightmare that marching was, at least there's a few things we got out of it. One of them, in the state of Louisiana, we're number 5, marching-wise, proving that last year, our 3rd we got wasn't just a one-hit wonder. Another perk was, marching band gives you amazing leg muscles *laughs* My personal favorite spoil of marching is, WE'RE GOING TO PERFORM IN THE SUGAR BOWL. *dances* Now, I don't like football, but, hey, we'll get a free trip to New Orleans, approximately 25 miles away, get the spend the night in a fancy hotel, have a New Year's party with many, many other people from all over the U.S., the half-time show will be on national television, we'll be literally on the sidelines, and there will be a national commertial about how my school got through Katrina, and how another local school, Erath, got through Rita.
But, yes, I'm back now! *throws confetti in the air* Yay!
