I would say Gaara...he's a defensive fighter where Sasuke is more offensive...it kinda depends on the situation though. Sure Sasuke can do the big flashy chidori in Shippuden, but we haven't really seen much of Gaara other than his fight with Deidara...which was pretty cheap I think (Gaara didn't really get to even fight to his full potential).

There was a fight between them in the beginning and Gaara totally wins because he has the "thing" inside of him.

If Sasuke turned evil before the battle then he would PWND Gaara to the dirt!! Sasuke is already super strong not that Gaara isn't it's just my opinion that Sasuke would win.
